I believe you've misunderstood my joke there. The "very serious" is in relation to "not daykilling Camn if she votes for Yosarian." Not to actually confirming I have a daykill.-

I don't really see the difference there.Magua wrote:The "very serious" is in relation to "not daykilling Camn if she votes for Yosarian." Not to actually confirming I have a daykill.
I mean, the above obviously implies that if camn DOESN'T vote Yosarian2 she could be daykilled by you.
Unless you're saying you'd be equally "very serious" about "not daykilling camn if shedoesn'tvote for Yosarian2" as well which is pretty weasel word-ish.
How does the first part jive with the second part? Or do you not get the part that the "implication" is, in fact, the joke?
@camn:Since you've said the mass nameclaim doesn't help the town but asking about it does, can you explain for those of us who are slow (ie, me) how?
VOTE: Peregrine
#58 is terribad lazyposting.-

I like Green Crayons. He's good people. Not as good as camn, but good enough.
Pine's play is bad, but not as bad as Peregrine's at this point.-

Haylen wrote:@ Magua - Surely you knew that making a post suggesting a day kill would not be taken as a joke and would distract from genuine discussion?
Leaving aside the "genuine discussion page 1 is lulz" topic, I have to ask: How does it distract?
Haylen wrote:Also, how is your Iso 6 useful if it doesn't contain any explanations as to WHY people's posting is good or bad?
I could quote the posts that both Green Crayons and Pine had just made, but seeing as they're on the same page I figured it'd just be a waste. If you're reading me in ISO it's easy enough to right click on the post number and open in a new tab to see it in context.
I guess, after thinking about it some more, that I could quote it and add the words "This is scummy" and "This is town". But that seems like effort.-

The crux is this:
Pine wrote:
I don't care if you did itas Town.Mass nameclaiming at this point in the day is an anti-Town suggestion.Don't ever do that as Town again.
My bolding.
The first is the worst of the two, IMO, because it indicates cognizance of the idea that camn may be town (which I, for instance, think is true), but an uncaring of trying to determine whether that's the case or not. I find that to be scummy.
The second is what people are calling the slip.
So, Pine: If something that is antitown is scummy, why did you include "I don't care if you're Town" at all? I'm not getting that thought process.-

Ok. Did you vote camn because you thought she was scum, or to punish bad play?-

No, Pine doesn't get let off the hook because of his join date. I've seen him play in three other games, and he's done just fine. I've never seen him (IMO) overreact like this to pressure before, so that's new.
@Pine:Let me rephrase my question. Do you actually think camn is scum? If you couldn't vote camn, who would you be voting now?-

Yes, I found Camn's play scummy, most noticeably in the stunningly anti-Town suggestion of a massclaim.
I disagree on camn. I think she's ubertown.
I think Green Crayons is town as well.
Do you see how I would be distrustful of your position when your reads are so radically different from mine?
Do you see how I would be distrustful of someone who says, "X doing Y indicates that they're scum" when it's been shown that X does Y as town? (I don't care, at this point, about whether Y is good for the town or not. I'm only caring about whether X doing Y is an indication that they're scum or not.)-

I simply found it to be uncompelling. Forcing justifications for RVS votes, or saying that someone needs to react to RVS votes in the same manner as they acted 9 months ago, isn't a good tell.
Whereas Peregrine doesn't post content, agrees with you that the Haylen meta case is good, but then when called on it by Green Crayons says, "No, it's pretty weak"...but then doesn't do anything or even acknowledge or comment on the camn/Pine brouhaha. All he does is correct the votecount.-

Medicated Lain wrote:The mention of promising not to day kill this game, is this a reference to the last game you two played together?
Yes; see also camn's grudge vote on me for that game.
@Battle Mage:Why is Peregrine not in the list of people you want lynched today?
camn remains town.
Green Crayons remains null to town. No interest in lynching GC.
Haylen is null to town. I don't find Icognito's original meta-attack on Haylen believable, and I haven't seen anything since then that makes me strongly believe scum, and a few things that make me think she's town. Don't want to lynch her today. (If Haylen is scum, she's getting bussed by a teammate, guaranteed.)
I like Battle Mage so far. He can join Green Crayons in null to town.
Don't like MehPlusRawr. I want to believe that scum would not be so foolhardy as to openly lurk like this, but, then again, I also want to believe that town wouldn't do it because of its sheer antitown nature. MehPlusRawr is an acceptable, but not actively desired, lynch at this point, but I'd prefer that he get vigged if possible. Will revisit D2 / when content appears, whichever comes first.
Still want to lynch Peregrine.
Still want to lynch Pine, but not as much as I want to lynch Peregrine.
Everyone else (bvoigt, Medicated Lain, Yosarian2, Incognito) is a big pile of null. I don't have the Incognito hate, but I wouldn't shed tears at an Incognito lynch.-

@Battle- Welcome to town, were we don't know and have to guess/figure it out, and are in the dark until the mod makes the deathpost. Is it different for you?
P-edit: See, now Magua posted something. I'll post first then read it.
Leaving aside "LOL OMGUS", when I prodded you on what you made of camn/Pine, you said:
PeregrineV wrote:Re: Pine/Camn: They'll work it out eventually. Meanwhile, they are providing more data for later use.
When did Pine move from "providing more data for later use" (which I read as "null") to scum?-

@Magua- One minute prior to the posting time of post 184. Which person do you most object to on the list?
P-edit: I copy/pasted the time from my post, and subtracted the one minute it took me to write the post. (See response to Magua).
I understand that I'm already voting you, so there's really not much more that I can threaten you with, but I feel that your responses have passed the line from snarky town, passed useless town, and entered into downright obstructionist town.
So, last time:
What did Pine do that caused you to move him from "needs more info" to "scum"?-

Peregrine, here's my case. Feel free to show the misrep.
#133: You say that Pine is effectively a nullread.
#184: You say that Pine is a scumread.
Back-and-forth between you and me ensues as I ask what happened that made you move Pine from nullread to scumread. Rather than explain, you are simply obstinate.
#225: You say Pine is a nullread.-

And you know it.
For the last motherfucking time, the question I've been asking you iswhy did your read change.
I mean, goddamn, at least four times now I've asked that question: #188, #190, #193, #204.
At this point, I don't really expect you to answer the question, and so you can go die.-

I'm happy with a Peregrine lynch. Especially with his "Magua's post on me is a misrep," my response, and his complete and total lack of a counter-response.
Maintain my camn and Green Crayon townreads. On the fence about the Incognito/Battle Mage back-and-forth; my gut is that it's not genuine on either of their parts, but that's a pretty paranoid theory that I'm willing to shelve for now and revisit D2.
Haylen seems townier now than in the beginning of the game.
Pine is probably town, but not as strong as Haylen.
Glad that MehPlusRawr replaced out.
Everyone else is still relatively null for me.
Peregrine should get to claiming now.-

PeregrineV wrote:To summarize: The same reason you did.
No. My reason for voting you isn't that you changed your stance on Pine. It's that when I asked you *why* you changed your read, you didn't answer. And you didn't answer. And you didn't answer. And you didn't answer. And when I bolded "why did your read change", you....didn't answer.
@Pine:Do you honestly believe that scum do not have fakeclaims? Either Luigi is his real claim, or it's his mod-provided fakeclaim. Pondering on whether the name claim is real or not at this point is pointless.-
