Chapter Nine: Portrait Painting
« on: September 18, 2021, 08:37:48 am »
(Chapter Eight seems to have been replaced by a portrait drawn of Buckley.)

He does watercolors. Mostly landscapes but a few nudes.

In this challenge, you need to pick the apple of your eye, the one player you truly love in your heart, the Suzy to your Sam, and then make them the subject of your very own beautiful work of art (or actually, any non-eliminated player will do).  You will have 24 hours to complete your work of art and submit it to your confessional.

You don't have to use water colors like Sam; any medium will do.  However, you must turn in an original creation, and you must make a single entry (sorry, Richie).  We will have a panel of judges rank the entries as soon as possible, and Tribal Council will begin immediately when we get the results.  We expect it to conclude on the usual schedule.

The player with the best average ranking will win individual immunity.

Important notice: Buckley has elected to quit the game and will finish in 11th place, becoming the second member of the Jury. We wish Buckley all the best. Buckley, it's time for you to go.

With that, you have all gone from 11 to 10, but this challenge will continue as previously planned and one of you will be voted out this round.

Submissions have been received and are being passed on to our volunteer judges. Results may take some amount of time. We will extend Tribal Council if it takes too long, otherwise we’ll proceed on schedule!

So I have a question for the mods and other players. Could we just extend the deadline by a day anyways? I've had a crazy day or so, and with Buckley quitting we'll have lost 7 people in one week roughly if we don't. Plus if Buckley didn't quit we were going to have an additional 48 hours. I'm sure we are all wanting the game to be over, but I don't think anyone will be hurt if we have a night to sort of process Buckley quitting and the weird fast pace this game has been going?

If none of you want an additional 24 hours to just cool off and have, I'll understand and won't say anything further and we can just do what we were going to do. I just wanted to throw out the suggestion if anyone else was sort of feeling the same as I was.

I would be supportive of an additional 24 hours. It would be helpful to me as well

Alright we have decided to extend deadline! So we will announce Immunity results at 7:30 Eastern tomorrow, and then have 24 hours for Tribal Council.
