I do think that incident is title-worthy, but regardless of the self-nom issue I believe you have to wait for the game to finish before the title can be considered. I'm going to try to think of something funny in the meantime. If only "Proof that God has a sense of humour"* wasn't too long.Albert B. I feel something like "Lighten up, Damnit!" (possibly without the mild swear word), works slightly better than "Drama Queen". I agree with the general sentiments of the title, however.Thestatusquo wrote:

This one is OK.Nominate Aimee forStalwart Sunshine
I thought of something with the word "sweet" in it for Aimee, but when you think of it, she isn't really sweet. Its just a fake impression you get from her display picture and her name (Aiy-meee).
I'm not certain this distinguishes Erg0 specifically, as I feel there are others with this property. Also, this title suggests things in addition to the lack of emotion.Nominate Erg0 forCold & Calculating
I have yet to see Erg0 display some sort of 'real' emotion during a game.
Titles based solely on a user name are very rare to be accepted. (There are exceptions, but I don't think this is a good exception.)Nominate NabakobNabakov forLolita
Self-explanatory.

On a side note, is anybody working on the Title page of the wiki? (SV was doing most of the work for that, but she obviously has limited computer access this semester.)

[grammarnazi]You want "accepted" as the first instance here, Thok.[/grammarnazi] Despite that, I agree with you in disagreeing with the NabNab suggestion. Aimee's is okay, but there's probably better out there.Thok wrote:Titles based solely on a user name are very rare to be excepted. (There are exceptions, but I don't think this is a good exception.)
If TSQ gets "Lighten up", it definitely needs the damnit.Retired as of October 2014.-

If you spell it "Dammit", it's not a swear.Mr. Flay wrote:

Picard says "Dammit" (Subtitles ayf). Picard wouldn't swear!

Interestingly, the only three people I can think of with titles based on their names are me, Yaw and Stewie (although Stewie is apparently getting rid of his). All three of us are Canadian. Coincidence? I thinkso!
Edit: It seems Stewie's has already been removed.
Maybe Yaw and I should start a club.If there's anything more important than my ego around, I want it caught and shot now.-

Thoth's title is sort of based on his username (really based off of his username, my username, and my avatar), and The Shadow and xyzzy have titles based off of their usernames.Sarcastro wrote:Interestingly, the only three people I can think of with titles based on their names are me, Yaw and Stewie (although Stewie is apparently getting rid of his). I had to look up "xyzzy" to understand it. I'm clearly not nerdy enough.jeep wrote:Yeah, The Shadow and xyzzy were my fault, but it's impossible to read their usernames without thinking the title... right?
I did understand The Shadow's, though. If there's anything more important than my ego around, I want it caught and shot now.-

I came to this thread (in youthful ignorance) and requested "Lalota" to poke fun at my misspelling of Nabokov's name, but even then I was shot down.ABR wrote: Nominate NabakobNabakov for Lolita
Self-explanatory.
I think if I was going to come up with a title for Albert, it would have something to do with the fact that he got Adel-doctor lynched twice in the space of a day. (Two different games) maybe something like "Bad patient" or maybe just "Impatient"Show"Shut up!" one woman shouted at another.
"You shut up!" the second woman shouted back.
