This post is funny because it assumes my post was addressing your post. I wanted to make Thok run the numbers. Worked!

17 is more then 11. :P

Assuming a 75% chance to be protown (which is probably high), the relevant probability is .7517, which is about 7/1000. Make it 66% chance to be protown, and you get about 1/1000.

That's a surprisingly high probability (I'd have intuitively guess a number off by several magnitudes.)

I've played 11 Newbie games and been pro-Town in every one. Probability = (5/7)11. Is that statistically significant? More importantly, is it of the slightest interest to anyone?

Actually, I think a meer townie is pretty funny. I'm not sure if it really warrants a title, but I still like it.

(the bad thing about titles like this is that they will invariably end. I used to have "The Unlynchable" in my sig off-site because I had never been lynched. Then I was lynched. That kinda ended it)

Not that significant (it occurs for about 1 out of 50 people),

I'm amused that people actually feel that complaining about mathematical calculations being boring has any useful value. (Possibly it's a need to mock me about a part of my personality that I've already accepted even though it may not make me popular, which is even funnier IMHO.)
I replaced into Chess Mafia for 6 months, and all I got was a win and this lousy sig.

Unclear. Plus, in my opinion a good title isn't just about numbers. There's also humor/appropriateness. (The first part is about making people laugh when they see it, the second is if a title is honoring something that people actually care about with respect to that person.)

How many people does our site have. As in, statistically, what percent of our users should have had that 17/17 townie streak.

Zindie's point was the best: these will eventually stop, however other titles will not: shea will be ironically opimistic, korlash will hardly mark sense, Yos will keep doing that (shrug) thing that makes him seem relaxed and defuses much of the fierocity of the segment and I will continue to be a horrible fake-claimer. That's the beauty of some of these.

Actually Oman, it's not really your fault, it's the meta's. Mods need to start including more NK Immune Miller Vig's so that your claim would be viable. You were just ahead of your time.

Guys I found someone who was town 22 times and scum 10 times in newbie games. The probability of that is 0.14294513101713777887107171639054% (22C10*(5/7)^22*(2/7)^10) meaning it happens to about 1 in 700 (699.569) people. I think that is pretty statistically significant as 1 in 700 is pretty rare.
