Night 1 - Cut Cult

It's now Night 1, but nobody is asleep.
Players decided to throw out a party. Everybody is either dancing, drinking or ... doing something else:

Image

Stef walks through a corridor, concealed in his clothes is a 500 year old Japanese sword, inheritance of his family.
His ninja sixth sense tickles: from the corner of the eye he spots ???.
He turns his head around. ??? points a revolver at him.

BAM

Stef unsheathes his katana. His first movement parries the bullet, the second would split ??? in half had him not blocked the sword with the gun.

Image

Stef
: That's a mighty fine weapon you've got there, ???. My sword would normally tear a gun like this ap...

BAM

??? didn't seen much interested on Stef's talk. The sword block left the gun in a position that already pointed to Stef's face. ??? just needed to pull the trigger and the only thing ripped apart was Stef's jaw.

Image
Stef
, japanese mafia goon, was killed on Night 1

Religion to ooba was neither a source of peace of mind nor a path to salvation.
Religion to him was a way of earning power:

ooba
: It's finally Night 1! Now I can finally start my plan of converting all players into my religion. Soon we will be majority and the game will be mine. MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
!!!
: I suspect this time will never come, ooba.

Image

Embriagated with his own laughter, ooba didn't really hear !!!'s words.
He almost didn't notice the giant-death-star-thingy that cut his body in half while the other players, embriagated with something that is not laughter, didn't even pay attention to what was going on.

Image
ooba
, cult leader, was murdered on Night 1

Am I the only one who finds these gifs extremely amusing?

Anyway, I promise to post more today if I can remember to visit this forum. :)

Going back to look for Stef related clues.

This is an easy vote…

Vote BlakAdder

BlakAdder wrote:All right, I'm here. Awesome pre-game scene by the way.
All right, so
vote: Stef
for having Satan and Saddam Hussein in his avatar.
This is just a gut thing, seen scum vote each other in the random vote stage too often..
BlakAdder wrote:@Stef: I already mentioned, everything that I think has already been said. But, overall, populartajo's vote on Sierra and
bad defense of you are the reason he's scummy
. Personally, you would not be that suspicious yourself if he had not tried to rush to your defense.
So,
vote: populartajo
. Since your scumminess relies on the assumption that you and tajo are partners, you'll be partially cleared if tajo flips town.
My problem with this statement is… why was Pop scummy looking for “deflecting” a Stef wagon? This makes no sense. It also makes no sense that Stef would be partially cleared if Pop flipped town. At this point in the game, Pop was the vote leader. Here you make it sound like Pop was scummy for deflecting a Stef wagon….but would that mean that Stef had to be scum for Pop to be scummy for doing this? I think BA had knowledge that Stef was scum (buddy) and Pop was town. When Pop flipped town, this was going to give BA a reason to ignore Stef…this was loose logic at best..luckily plenty of people noted it yesterday.

More of the same.
BlakAdder wrote:
TheSweatpantsNinja wrote:You misunderstand the question, I think. How would he be at all cleared?
Because the only reason I am suspicious of him is because of the potential connection to tajo. If tajo flips town, then that is gone.
BlakAdder wrote:Because you're trying to shift suspicion off of Stef, and along with Stef voting you, it looks like scum distancing.

This line of reasoning looks fluffish to me as well.
BlakAdder wrote:I don't know about everyone else, but these freakouts pretty much confirm it for me. That and the fact that he said he was a power role, but didn't bother to actually say what.
In reference to this post by Pop
populartajo wrote:OF COURSE IM A POWER ROLE. I WOULDNT BE FIGHTING THIS HARD IF I WERE VANILLA.
ITS THE SAME FOR ME. LYNCH ME OR LET SCUM KILL ME TONIGHT.
I PLAYED HORRIBLY I RECOGNIZE BUT ALL THE PEOPLE IN MY WAGON SIMPLY CANT BE SCUM AND JUMP AGAINST ME EVEN THOUGH IVE EXPLAINED WHY I AM NOT SCUM.
I AM A DOCTOR.
DO WHATEVER YOU WANT GUYS. IM DONE.
I don’t think BA ever had any intention of unvoting Pop.
BlakAdder wrote:Whoops, missed that, but I don't believe him anyway.
In the face of a Pop (town) lynch, he was setting up reasoning to put Stef (scum) into a most likely town catagory with logic that not only didnt make sense. Again, why was Pop scummy for deflecting a Stef wagon? Also, how exactly was Pop deflecting anything?

also sticking with my post from yesterday
curiouskarmadog wrote:
unvote vote BlackAdder

votes Skitzer when skitzer gets heat.

comes in and throws suspicion on Pop and Stef, when they are getting heat.

vote count comes out with Pop leading, he votes Pop.

I dont mind bandwagoning for the sake of bandwagon day 1, but this looks like he is trying act like he is participating, while adding nothing knew, scum hunting, or asking any questions.

so there is a blatant connection between Stef and BA....Stef (like you) attacked me yesterday for my hammer, without knowing Pop's alignment. BA throws up shitty logic in attempt to "partially clear" Stef today...but you think I AM more worthy of a vote than BA?

what mistake did BA make(in your words please)?

What mistake did I make?

does this have anything to do with my FoS of you?

is it safe to say that you agree with the implication of this post?

Why did you feel the need to lynch so fast CKD?
and since Stef cant answer, can you please explain what is "too early"?

The same thing I picked up on the first time and the first time I talked to BA.

He was trying to partially clear someone when he shouldn't.

You hammered too early

No it doesn't. Plus you didn't FoS me just one of my statements.

I don't see an implication in that quote.

Too early is not giving people time to react.

Going to need a tad bit more from you.

"The same thing I picked up on the first time and the first time I talked to BA. "

Dont understand this statement, please site posts and be specific. What was BA mistake? The fact he was trying to partially clear anyone, or the fact that he was trying to partially clear scum? I do note you questioned him on this at the time...trying to figure out what you think was his mistake, I am still confused.

What is your opinion of my case against BA? Again, address my points (you dont have to address the 1st "gut" reason) and be as specific as possible.

And so that I understand, you think my "mistake" was a fast hammer and you "cant see how a townie (me) could've made a(that) mistake", thus I must be scum. have you ever seen a townie hammer someone that you deem was "too early"...have you ever seen scum hammer someone that you deem was "too early"?

I hammered because of the claim...I didnt beleive it. A decent doc would not play that way and I felt he was lying. As it turns out I was right...he was lying. I was also right for calling out Stef for attacking me (an implication was there if you want to admit it or not). I am pretty sure I am right about BA too.

You on the other hand, I am trying to figure out if you really believe what you are saying or if you are trying to push crap.

I dont really care that you and Emp questioned me yesterday. I found it strange that you, emp, and Stef questioned me about it while also having your votes on Pop. I didnt like the way Stef went about questioning me, though. It felt like it was an attack. I felt this was strange (and apparently so did someone else) because we didnt know the alignment of Pop yet. Like I said, Emp and yourself are only deserving of a FoS atm...and I can see how someone MIGHT think it was a scummy move and would bring it but today, but why attack me yesterday before the alignment reveal...this bothers me. At the time, I thought pop was lying so he deserved his lynching, but to blame the hammer for the entire lynch is a joke.

My problem with Emp, is that he feels I am SCUMMIER for one action (essentially voting with Emp) over BA's entire attitude and play yesterday.

I am looking forward ( I think) to everyone's thoughts on this.

First off, I plan on actually reading the topic and posting this time around. Then I'll make a post that is actually relevant. But, first, to answer the question...

I do believe there are at two Mafia families. The first clearly killed a member of the opposing family, so there's now a Mafia family with one less member. The second kill may be the Cult Leader who tried to recruit a Mafia member or the second Mafia family's kill.

Another unrelated question: Did the Cult Leader recruit anyone, and if so, is it important now or is the cult now disbanded?
