Roles

These are the roles you will campaign and vote for every election phase. If information is not listed about the role it is private information and the same rules apply to it that would apply to any other mod communication (i.e. don't quote your role PMs)

Treasurer

Each elimination phase you must disperse town funds to the power roles.

Sherriff

Target a player to learn their alignment,

Mayor

Jack-of-all-trades with three abilities. You will not be shown abilities that have been used by your predecessor.

Council Member

Jack-of-all-trades with three abilities. You will not be shown abilities that have been used by your predecessor.

Trash Collector

Target a player and see who they targeted at night

Board Of Elections

You may submit a player and position to find out who they voted for the previous phase.

Your Win Condition

• You win the game when all threats to the town have been eliminated and at least one town player is alive.

Mafia Abilities

• Each night the mafia may choose 1 of the following abilities to use: (each ability can only be used once)
  
  
  
  Wiretap:
  Learn who the target targets at night, as well as learn which ability they use.
  
  
  Sabotage the Treasurer:
  The treasurers budget is limited by 25% on this night.
  
  
  Rig the Election:
  Choose a Declared role. The Mafia gains 1 extra votes toward that role during the next election cycle.
  
  
  Slander the Candidate:
  Choose a player. If they are a candidate tomorrow they receive 2 less votes than they otherwise would have received.
  
  
  Inflate the Economy:
  Choose a role, during the night that role costs 2x its stated cost. This means that the efficacy of that role will be cut in half.

Any thoughts about which roles we should go after? Sheriff is obviously the scariest. I don't think being aggressive about going after roles is bad because it's all wifom.

Do any of you have special roles? Or do we get abilities revealed at night?

my role pm is very similar to the sample town role pm in the main thread, except it states i'm aligned with the mafia and who my buddies are. so i am not a special role, no.

i'd very much prefer if sheriff got into our hands. treasurer is also a good one obviously, though that one is gonna be difficult to lie about and not get murdered for it.

judging by the name of the role... i'm guessing mayor is some sorta doublevoter or governor joat? no clue what a council member would be...

also, in the recently completed HoD large theme (which had kind of similar mech, but was a monarchy instead of a democracy), i was scum that got the cop and i have had a horrible time playing that, so if anyone else in this team would like to try for the cop, i would be very grateful.

There is a maximum number of 3 candidates per role

this is a first come, first serve basis, huh?

i wonder if we could get away with all yeeting ourselves into the positions we want. lowkey wondering if i should be doing that, so many people here have played in HoD...

My gut says that inflate the economy will be our default play unless we have some reason to do something else. I feel like it makes sense for town to have everyone claim ballot votes, but it might also make sense not to do that in a Shea game. Given all the info we know it's probably good for town but they may not want to. Though perhaps it just informs our night kill so maybe it's just bad. Anyway, I also default to Jingle.
