They are, they're old order mennonites. But seventh-day adventists are Protestants too, and they have a saturday sabbath.Evilgorrilaz wrote:Huh.
I was pretty damn sure the Amish were protestant.

nswhorse wrote:OT: Korts - the Jews regard Saturday as the Sabbath (actually sundown Friday to sundown Saturday according to Western reckoning), as do some small groups like the Seventh Day Adventists and Seventh Day Baptists. Catholics and most Protestants believe the Sabbath was changed to Sunday with the resurrection of Christ. Some Protestants believe Sabbath observance is no longer required. I am not aware of any non Judeo-Christian religions having a Sabbath concept. As for the Amish, I'm not certain, but I think they follow the Jewish Sabbath.

Since everyone has picked up their PMs, and only 2 have yet to confirm, let's start this small mammal.

RANDOM VOTE: Korts
BEKUZ TEH DICE SAY SO. LAWL.babygirl86 wrote:random vote: korts
lets get this started!
Why bother telling us they're random votes? Surely the we can work that out, this being the very beginning of the game.Riceballtail wrote:RANDOM VOTE:Rigel
Sometimes, you must trust the highest power of them all.
Also, interesting that two of the people who felt they needed to state that their votes were random are voting for the same person.
Vote: babygirl86"I can't not give mad props to the murderbot 9000 that was q21." - Spyrex, after Scummies Invitational 2010.
You know those times when you wish you could think of something really funny or interesting to say, but just can't?... Yep, this is one of those times.-

Surely no one takes that kind of accusation seriously unless there is something additional to take into account. Two people whose votes are supposedly random hitting the same person out of a possible 20 doesn't seem very random to me. ValiantValant voted for Korts first and already has a vote against him so I voted for you."I can't not give mad props to the murderbot 9000 that was q21." - Spyrex, after Scummies Invitational 2010.

Dood. Next time, edit the topic name to let us know the game has started. Please?
And, also, Q21, why are you jumping on people for stating that they are random voting? Very bad reason to be jumping on people, you know...
FOS on Q21.
And, along those lines of logic Q21, why not vote for ValiantValant, so as to get a Mafia lynched?
And believe me, I have seen a random votes tally have that happen before.HIS NAME IS SIR JEREMY WILKINS, AND THAT IS HOW YOU SHALL ADDRESS HIM!-

Q21: it is not impossible for two random votes to hit the same person. Assuming that someone won't random vote themselves, the odds of two people hitting the same target are 1 in 19. A sample size of 2 simply doesn't give enough information to decide on the randomness or otherwise.
I also find it unlikely the scum would be arrogant enough to team up to start a wagon this early on.
