Matrix-5 Setup

This setup came about in a discussion on how to improve Matrix 6. One of the problems that RadiantCowbells discovered was that Matrix-6 can be broken by a series of BP/Not-BP claims. From here, Matrix-5 was born.

Each matrix5 game will be given a setup that incorporates either one row or one column. The remaining roles will be filled in by mafia goons and vanilla townies appropriately, to create a 2-mafia and 7-town setup.

This game uses the Natural Action Resolution system for determining Night action effects. Roleblocker actions will take precedence over Jailkeeper actions should that apply.

Game Rules

:

Rule 0: Don't be a dick

. - If you are being a dick, you run the risk of force-replacement or modkill. You may or may not be warned. I don’t tolerate ad hom wars. If your posting is merely insulting a player without providing game content, you can expect a strike from me. Three strikes, you’re out. I’m fairly lenient about this, but posting “Fuck you” over and over again is simply not acceptable. Severe issues will be reported to the list mod(s) via my super sekrit chat room I definitely have with them all.

General

:
- Do not discuss this game of mafia outside of this thread unless your role PM allows you to do so.
- Do not quote PM's from the mod at all (real or fabricated). Paraphrasing is acceptable. You are also not allowed to quote any communication that you send to me.
- If you have any questions about your role, or the game, feel free to PM the mod.
- "Bah" posts are

not

allowed.
- If you break any of these rules, you will probably be modkilled.

Voting/Player Actions:

- All votes must be in bold format:

- Try to unvote before voting. Unvotes must also be in bold or use the unvote tag.
- Any and all votes will be counted, if you wish to waste a day phase voting for someone not in the game,that's fine by me.
- You may vote No Lynch.
- Voting tricks are not acceptable. If you misspell someone's name intentionally, but I get the gist of it, the vote will count.
- A lynch will occur once a majority decision is reached. If no majority is reached by deadline, then no lynch shall occur.
- Following a lynch, it is twilight. You may continue to post until I lock the thread and declare it night.
- If you have a Night Action, you may submit it from Night 1 and each subsequent Night. No other time.

Activity:

- You are expected to post at least once every 48 hours. If you haven't posted for 48 hours, I shall prod you. If you do not respond to the prod within 48 hours (either in thread if it's Day, or via PM during the Night) then I will replace you.
-I do not tolerate naked prod dodges. Naked prod dodges will not count towards your activity requirement. Multiple pdodges may get you force replaced.
- Similarly, if you require more than three prods, I will force-replace you.

- I reserve the right to alter/remove/add any rules as I see fit. You will, of course, be notified if that happens, however.

Hello newbies, and welcome to Newbicro 702! Since I am the oldest player in this game by joindate I will assume the role of IC in the game.

First, go and read the rules.
Secondly, come back.
Now, there are two main premises of Mafia as town; looking town and lynching scum. To do the first just act naturally and don't omit too much information THAT IS NOT ROLE-RELATED to the town, like your thought processes and reasons for voting a player. To do the second, just play through and think "what would a mafia do?"
I'm not going to give advice to Mafia because;
a) I can't be bothered
b) It would basically be against my wincon and
c) it would be too much effort.

Nah, I don't really have that ego. It's an award that you get when you play in a game, usually a Large Theme, as part of a town that is considered to have the best performance. The way they judge this is that you are nominated for a scummy (see viewtopic.php?f=5&t=70016) and judges go through the nominated games that people put forward over that year.
