Tom Nook – GF
SAFE CLAIMS:
Farley the Well Spirit, Wendell, and Katrina
You are Tom Nook, the godfather of the mafia. You’ve always hated the town of Animal Crossing with a passion, and have decided to kill every resident. By sabotaging the railroad, you have ensured that the animals will be trapped for you to kill!
Your goons are Tommy and Timmy, <name> and <name> respectively. Each night, you may send in the name of one player to kill. Either you or one of the goons can do the kill; this may matter for some purposes, so it’s up to you to choose. In addition, you can post a message, with no more than 50 words, to the town’s Bulletin Board each night.
As Tom Nook, you are the owner of the shop Nook’s Cranny. You will be able to track all purchases made, which means when a player buys something, you’ll be alerted. In addition, once in the game (at night) you may tell me you wish to close the shop for one game-time day (which will be the next day). You can only do this once, any more than that and you’ll lose too much profit.
You and your mafia group wins once the town is suppressed and all other anti-town threats are eliminated.
Tommy – Scum
SAFE CLAIMS:
Farley the Well Spirit, Wendell, and Katrina
You are Tommy, one of Tom Nook’s kids that help him in business around the shop. It just so happens that he’s started a new ‘business’ that he needs help with, if you catch my drift.
You are one of the Raccoon mafia goons, along with Timmy <name> and Godfather Tom Nook <name>. Each night, Tom Nook will send in a kill choice. Assist the mafia in making this choice by talking with them at night.
In addition to this, as being the owner of the shop, Tom Nook will be informed of all purchases made and also has the one time ability to close the shop for one game-time day. Since you can only talk with your fellow mafia members at night, you’ll have to get the purchase info from Nook at night.
You and your mafia group wins once the town is suppressed and all other anti-town threats are eliminated.

Kapp’n – GF
SAFE CLAIMS:
Tortimer & Saharah
Arr! Ye be Kappn’, the boat ferryman who transports interested people to Animal Island. You’ve gotten a bit sick of ferrying people around all the time, so you’ve conspired with some residents of Animal Island to take over the mainland!
Along with goons Pigleg and Maelle, <name> and <name>, you are a member of the Animal Island Mafia! Each night, converse with your group and discern who is the best choice to kill. Send that choice in to me. In addition, you may post a message (max. 50 words) to the Bulletin Board each night.
Each member of the mafia has a special one shot ability that can be used one night of the game:
Kapp’n: Row out to Animal Island. Nobody in Animal Crossing has a GBA and that means all choices on you fail. However, the next day, you’ll be unable to post (which might be something the other townspeople will want you to explain).
Pigleg: Avast! As your one-shot ability, you will be able to select two players whose night choice targets will be switched around.
Maelle: As your one-shot power, you can steal all of one player’s bells, allowing you to go on a shopping spree!
You and your mafia group wins once the town is suppressed and all other anti-town threats are eliminated.
Pigleg – Scum
SAFE CLAIMS:
Tortimer & Saharah
Avast, mateys! You are Pigleg, and there’s trouble brewing on Animal Island. Boat ferryman Kappn’ has called upon you to join in a mafia group to take over Animal Crossing!
Along with Godfather Kapp’n <name> and Maelle <name>, you are a member of the Animal Island Mafia! Each night, converse with your group and discern who is the best choice to kill. Kappn’ will send that choice in to me.

Mabel – Pseudo-Burglar
You are Mabel, and you own the tailor here in Animal Crossing. Each night, you may check to see what type of duds the townsperson of your choice is wearing. You will receive an adjective of some sort describing the clothing.
One more thing: I will confirm that there is a Sable in the game, and furthermore she is pro-town. Unfortunately, you do not know who this is. You win with the town.
Results-
Animal Island Mafia – ‘Exotic’
Tom Nook – ‘Upscale’
Tommy or Timmy – ‘Formal’
Sable – ‘Fashionable’
Copper – ‘Standardized’
Booker – ‘Standardized’
Blathers – ‘Formal’
Gracie – ‘Fashionable’
Gulliver – ‘Ugly’
K.K Slider – ‘Naked!’
Sow Joan - ‘Ugly’
Rover – ‘Ugly’
Crazy Redd – ‘Ugly’
Pelly – ‘Cute’
Phyllis – ‘Cute’
Pete – ‘Fashionable’
Human Character – ‘Fashionable’
Gyroid King – ‘Naked!’
Gyroid – ‘Naked!’
Peachy and No. 2 shirts do not affect this ability.
Sable – Sewer
You are Sable, and you work at Animal Crossing’s tailor shop, where townspeople can create hip fashions. You work the sewing machines and often generously give gifts to the townspeople.
Each night, you may sew an outfit and give it to any townsperson of your choice, who will NOT be made aware this occurred. Unfortunately, many people find your choices of fashion quite boring.
One more thing: I will confirm that there is a Mabel in the game, and furthermore she is pro-town. Unfortunately, you do not know who this is. You win with the town.
Mod Note-
In a hilarious bout of irony, Sable is a framer for Mabel’s investigations. If Mabel investigates someone the same night or any night after Sable gives them an outfit, she will get ‘boring’ as the adjective. Time will tell whether or not Sable will notice that detail in her role.
Copper – Cop
You are Copper, and you’re a cop. I mean, come on, you sooooo saw that one coming. Each night, you may select a player to investigate. You will receive a guilty or innocent result in the morning. You win with the town.
Booker – Townie
You are Booker, and you run the town’s lost and found, which is boring work. Unfortunately, there’s not much else for you to do at present. You win with the town.
Mod Note-
If Copper dies, Booker replaces.
“Copper has died! You must now take over cop duties. Each night, select a person to investigate. You’ll get an innocent result or a guilty result. You still win with the town.”
Haha! In yet another hilarious bout of irony, Booker is Naïve! Of course, anyone familiar with his character could probably deduce this.
Blathers – Restricted Politician
You are Blathers, the museum curator here in Animal Crossing. You know much about the artifacts in this museum, and now must protect them from the mafia.
Blathers has a tendency to fall asleep during the day unless someone wakes him up. During the day, you may only post if said post is within 3 posts of a post that gives you an FOS or Vote.
At night, you’re wide awake and will be able to do some good for the town. You may either select another player to receive an extra vote the next day, or choose someone to ‘buy’ their vote, forcing them to keep their vote on the player of your choice the rest of the day. When I say player of your choice, I mean a selection made during the night, not one changeable mid-day. You win with the town.
Gracie – Townie
You are Gracie, the snobby giraffe who really cares about clothing and fashion. Besides parking in places where people aren’t allowed to, Gracie also treats other people like dirt and gives away clothing. Unfortunately, you have no special abilities. You win with the town.
Gulliver – Half-Cop
You are Gulliver, the wayward seagull who seems to frequently end up on the shores of Animal Crossing. It looks like the sabotage of the railroad, though, has stranded you here in Animal Crossing. You will use your keen eyes to aid the town.
Each night, select a person to investigate. You will get a guilty or innocent result. You are a half-cop, meaning that you will not be able to recognize all scum as scum. You win with the town.
Mod Note-
Gulliver can only recognize members of the Animal Island Mafia, which will hopefully help balance out their powerful abilities.
K.K. Slider – Mystery
You are K.K. Slider. During one of your performances in front of the Animal Crossing railroad station, the sabotage of the train occurred right before your eyes. You’ve resolved to use your smarts and passion for music to aid the town.
Each night, you may play one of your songs for another player. The result of this action is unknown to you, but the action will always do the same thing. You win with the town.
Mod Note-
K.K. Slider’s music is in fact a doctor protect, with the catch that it only works on people that didn’t perform a night choice.
In the cult version, I was toying with idea of K.K. Slider being a de-cultifier, but I think that may make the cult too weak… what do you think on the matter?
Sow Joan – Investor
You are Joan, seller of turnips on Sunday. Each Sunday, you wander Animal Crossing with turnips to sell. These turnips play an important role in the ‘stalk market.’ Just because you allow others to participate doesn’t mean you yourself don’t take part every once in a while.
Each night, you may pay any amount of bells to get extra turnips for yourself. The next night, you will learn how much you gained or lost on your investment. It is up to you to decide how you will play the stalk market. Choose wisely, and have fun. You win with the town.
Mod Note-
Joan’s payoffs are based on pure luck:
20% of No Return
10% of Half Return, rounding down
10% of Half Return, rounding up
20% of Even Return
20% of 1 Additional Bell per 3 invested.
10% of Double Return
10% of Triple Return
Rover – Roleblocker
You are Rover, a cat who often rides the rails from town to town, chatting and sightseeing along the way. During one of your stays in Animal Crossing, the railroad was sabotaged, forcing you to stay put and help with the mafia problem.
One of Rover’s greatest strengths is being incredibly chatty and making small talk to random people. Each night, you may choose to roleblock the player of your choice by making small talk. Also, due to the fact that you’re chatting with them, you must send a message, minimum 50 words and maximum 100, to that person.
Alternatively, you may write one word (only one) on the town’s bulletin board. Or you could do neither of these things. Have fun, and send questions to me if you have any. You win with the town.
Crazy Redd – Townie
You are Crazy Redd, operator of the Animal Crossing Black Market. You had dumped all your wares in Animal Crossing and got ready to head out for more, but the railroad was sabotaged, preventing you from leaving. It’s up to you and the others to root out scum, but sadly, you have no special abilities to assist you. You win with the town.
Pelly – Townie
You are Pelly, the pelican operator of the post office during the daytime. Fully committed to your job, it’s crucial that the mafia gets sorted out quickly so that the mail service can resume its work. You win with the town.
Phyllis – Pacifist
You are Phyllis, the angry, grumpy, and just plain mean night clerk at the post office. Absolutely hating your job, you are pleased to find that the mafia has brought letter-sending to a temporary halt. Your mission is to ensure that said halt lasts as long as possible.
What you want to do is to ensure that there is at least one no-lynch over the course of the game. If this doesn’t happen, you’ll still win with the town if you are alive at endgame. Once the no-lynch vote condition is reached, it is irrelevant what occurs later.
Pete – Townie
You are Pete, the letter delivering pelican in Animal Crossing. As a simple mailman, you have no special abilities of note. However, when delivering letters you usually end up taking a break by the town’s bulletin board. That means that each night, you may write a message on the bulletin board, with a maximum of 50 words. You win with the town.
Human Character – JoaT
You are the Human Character in the Animal Crossing village. As the Human Character, there are a lot of things you can do. You have quite a few one-shot abilities. Each night, you may select one of them to use.
1) Write a message on the bulletin board, max. 50 words
2) Send a letter to any other player, max. 75 words. Recipient will be able to reply to it.
3) Find and hit the magic rock and dig up shiny spot to get bells. You will get anywhere from 2 – 6 bells.
4) Go on a treasure hunt for an item. You will receive a random item that is currently in stock at Tom Nook’s store.
5) Change the town tune. This will produce an effect. What effect that is, though, you don’t get to know.
6) Check the Lost & Found. This will get you a random low-quality item.
7) Perform a task for Wisp the ghost. You may get a reward for doing this.
Those are your abilities. Should you run out of abilities, you’ll be a townie for the remainder of the game. Choose wisely, and have fun. You win with the town.
Mod Note-
What each ability does:
1) Exactly as told
2) Exactly as told. Recipient will be able to reply during the day by PMing the message to me, and must also adhere to 75 word limit.
3) Equal chance of each bell result.
4) Equal chance of each available item being the one found.
5) Every role gets roleblocked. (Too powerful?)
6) Low-quality is defined as costing no more than 2 bells. This power also roleblocks the cops.
7) Player either gets low-quality item, 2 bells, or nothing (equal chance of each).

TOM NOOK’S SHOP
Here’s how the shop works: any player can, during any point during
DAY
, PM the mod requesting to purchase an item. Players do not know what an item does until they acquire it, at which time they will be given a description and use. A player can hold no more than two items at any given time. A player can use no more than one night-exclusive item per night. Players may not quote the description they get for the item. Unless an item says otherwise, it can be discarded for no refund at any time. Anything that roleblocks a player also negates the effects of any night-exclusive item he uses.
The shop can upgrade from Nook’s Cranny all the way up to Nookington’s based on the amount of sales. The next day, the upgrade is announced and new items (usually more powerful ones) become available for purchase.
As for bells, each player starts with two (although the rules state ‘unless your role PM says otherwise’, there are no players with such a role). Each night, every player gets 1 bell. Players may give bells to other players at any time by announcing it in thread under the format “
GIVE <#> BELLS TO <player>
” Players may also draft a will at any night of the game that says who gets their items and bells. It may also be revised
ONCE
, during any night
other
than the night it was originally drafted. If items or bells in the will are left to a deceased beneficiary or there is no will, lost items get auctioned that morning.
As for bells lost this way, the town votes for who will get them, just like voting for lynch. When a majority is reached, said player gets the bells and then the actual lynch votes commence. If a person without items or bells willed to living players gets lynched, all items and bells are lost.
Here is a list of items to be found in Nook’s Cranny:
Net - 5 Bells
“You may use the Net on any night to capture another player, roleblocking them for that night and that night only.”
Shovel - 2 Bells
“You may use the shovel on any night to bury a pitfall. A random player will be roleblocked.”
Orange Box - 1 Bell
“This item does absolutely nothing and should be avoided. Haha!”
Blue Diary - 2 Bells
“With this item, you may write a message, max 200 words. The town will receive this message when you die. You may not edit this message after you write it.”
Nook’s Portrait – 2 Bells
“This item will give you a 1 Bell discount on all future purchases you make on an item costing 5 bells or more, so long as this item is in your inventory when the purchase is made.”
After 6 purchases, Nook’s Cranny upgrades to Nook & Go, making 4 new items available:
Owl Clock – 2 Bells
“This clock will inform you if the game enters into a lynch-or-lose scenario or if the town loses voting majority.”
Slot Machine – 6 Bells
“Get lucky with this slot machine. It can be used on any night to give you protection from kills for that night and the next. If a kill is protected against, though, the slot machine’s protect ends, and you don’t get to know if that happens.”
Axe – 5 Bells
“This axe gives you a one-shot vigilante kill to be used any one night of the game.
Computer – 4 Bells
“This item will automatically allow you to update your will upon your death.”
12 total purchases opens up Nookway, with 4 new items!
Peachy Shirt – 7 Bells
“This shirt can be worn any one night of the game, negating all choices on you.”
Telescope – 6 Bells
“Spy on another player on any night with the telescope, learning who they targeted with their night choice.”
Lantern – 2 Bells
“Use this lantern on any night to illuminate a player’s alignment. This item is not necessarily sane, but will never be Insane.”
Mod Note-
Each Lantern has a 60% chance of being sane, and 20% chance each of being Naïve or Paranoid.
Rare Painting – 7 Bells
“This painting is currently worth 4 Bells, but will appreciate in value by 2 bells each night. You may sell it on any night.”
19 total purchases upgrades to Nookington’s, with 2 new items!
Lovely Phone – 9 Bells
“The Lovely Phone can be used on any one night to get a reading on any player, telling who they targeted that night and giving their alignment, with a guaranteed sane result.”
No. 2 Shirt – 9 Bells
“This shirt will give you doublevote for the remainder of the game.”
