Oh yeah, gigantic thanks to Stoof for modding the game. For those interested, I've gotten two Scummie nominations based at least in part from this game, both of which can be found here if anybody cares to take a look.-

MrBuddyLee, why didn't you vote me to avoid the no-lynch D2?"When playing a game, the goal is to win, but it is the goal that is important, not the winning." -Reiner Knizia

This was one of my slight worries on day 6 about thinking MBL was scum. I eventually concluded he'd voted Ether in the hope of scaring her into hammering you, whilst keeping his hands clean.Thesp wrote:MrBuddyLee, why didn't you vote me to avoid the no-lynch D2?
I wonder whether we'd have won this if MBL has succeeded in getting himself lynched on day 6. I have a feeling we'd have pulled through because I couldn't see MGM/MBL as a scumpairing, and Glork/Thesp were still obvobv town. Maybe the lynch mob would have come after me though.Primpod 11:13 pm

Because I wouldn't have hammered you if I was town. I was on vacation at the time, and I sat staring at the February Arizona sun for a few hours and it told me you weren't quite scummy enough to hammer. Plus, I really thought one of {Ether, Patrick} would hammer you for the everpopular "sake of information".Thesp wrote:MrBuddyLee, why didn't you vote me to avoid the no-lynch D2?dialing in mildly protown reads since 2006-

You were on to me before anyone. You were on to Glork, Patrick and Thesp when they were playing scummily D1/D2 and to some extent your pressure turned their behavior around. I think you were right about Andrew and Adele. And you correctly kept your mind open during endgame--to be honest, I think Patrick and Glork were a little too certain about each other. Just be careful about ever trusting CES again.Mgm wrote:I thoughtsomepeople believed in my skills as a mafia player, guess I was wrong about that.dialing in mildly protown reads since 2006-

Feh. I was never certain. But practically the only reason to suspect Glork was his play on day 1. All the attacks on him for other stuff were stretches.MBL wrote:And you correctly kept your mind open during endgame--to be honest, I think Patrick and Glork were a little too certain about each other.Primpod 11:13 pm

Mad props to Crash, and I apologize profusely to everyone for my flake. (I got back in late July and went on to serve as a rantbuddy for Glork and Patrick. Just like the rest of ScumChat.)

Stoofer, thanks not only for modding this but also for the peek into British culture. It is always important to make sure that there are no euphemisms fromanywhereslipping past oneself. :P

Well I'm really glad that so many people enjoyed this game.
In December, after my upcoming heavy workload has relented somewhat, I plan to run a sequel along the same lines as this game - semi-open, based on the Face-to-Face theme, and involving the creme de la creme of the mafiascum community. I'll try to replicate all the things that made this game a success and see if I can make it even better and more fun.-

Well, if you'd take me back after this disgrace, I'd love to try to make up for it.
As an aside, I loved the way Mgm played out the last two days.ShowFinished: 159 (120 Town, 33 Mafia, 5 Other, 1 Cult, 4 Cultivated)
