Newbie 10 - Game Over

Post Post #0 (ISO) » Fri Jan 09, 2004 8:25 am

Post by Corsato »

Bloojay, townie lynched by the town..

The usual has happened. A town is infected by the mafia, and they want to get rid of them.
This game will start with the day phase. The 'usual' newbie game setup will be used: 2 mafia, 1 doctor, 1 cop and 3 town.

Alive:

Arataln
Caveman
Pfischer
Yoko Kurama

Dead:

Kerplunk, Cop, lynched, day 1.
Norinel, Townie, killed by the mafia, night 1.
Bloojay, Townie, lynched, day 2.

Here are the rules for this game:
  • Do not edit or delete any of your posts. Do not edit for correcting typo's.
  • Use this thread and only this thread for discussion.
  • All votes ect. must be bolded. If it isn’t bolded, it will not be counted.
  • All night choices must be received by me before the posted deadline. If your choice isn’t in by that time, no choice will be made that night.
  • Once you're death you're dead. Don't post when you're dead.
  • For a succesfull lynch, a clean majority is needed. (e.g. with 6 players alive, 4 are needed for a lynch).
  • When discussion slows down, a deadline will be set. Deadlines are flexible, and can be extended when discussion picks up again. Only half of the normally required amount is needed for a deadline-lynch.
  • Feel free to disagree with any decision I make, but don't discuss it in the thread. Send me a pm or e-mail instead.

A letter is delivered to town hall, with a disturbing message:
"We have stand in the shadows for too long, our time has come. Don't try to resist, or suffer the consequences."

The town realises it's bad anyway, and decides to get rid of the scum once and for all.

It's day, you can start voting and do the things you need to do. I'm surprised that all the players confirmed within 4 hours. Is that a record?? ;)

And here is the very first official vote tally:

1 Araltaln (Bloojay)
1 Kerplunk (Yoko Kurama)
1 Norinel (Pfischer)
1 Pfisscher (Caveman)
1 Yoko Kurama (Kerplunk)

Not voting: the rest.

Dictionary wrote:
mis·spell
(ms-spl)

tr.v. mis·spelled or mis·spelt
(-splt), mis·spell·ing, mis·spells

To spell incorrectly.
It looks like it's word. Carry on!!! :D

Well, mathematically, it's extremely unwise to put the second vote on someone in this situation, right?

Since there's probably not much point in adding a sixth single vote either, I suppose I'll hold my vote for now.

If it's 4 to lynch, why is 2 votes mathematically bad?
Even if someone else votes at exactly the same time as you, it's unlikely that you will accidentally lynch someone.

BTW, since I'm new to this, is there a way to make sure that someone doesn't vote someone while you are typing or is it all chance?

Well, if there's two mafia in the game, and two innocents are voting for another innocent, that's a bad thing if the mafia are paying sufficient attention, since it takes four votes to lynch.

It is 6 to lynch. Lynching is done by majority and since half of 11 is 5.5 you round up so 6.

Well, except for the fact there's 7 of us :) Perhaps you're thinking of Mini #73?
