Went 3-0 in arena with a solid deck only to get stomped by super amazing decks with good draws all the way down to 3-3.
I'm 4-0 in another arena and am super afraid of continuing because I actually feel this deck is weak and I've been getting lucky.
7-1 now. I'm a scrub, this deck is solid. THE DREAM.
8-3 ending ain't bad. Last match came down to his topdeck was better than my topdeck.don't you feel silly now?-

goddamn I've had the worst luck with arenas recently
My last two selections of classes have been Warlock/Warrior/Hunter and Warlock/Hunter/Druid.
In my past four runs I've seen zero epics or legendaries
I did have a nice little 5-3 run a couple days ago with a Paladin deck... seriously, Paladins are borked in arenagreen shirt thursdays-

Warlock power is useless without a deck built to complement it. Druid is okay but the ability is weak and it has ramp isn't great in Arena. I'd prefer rogue, mage, paladin, or priest. I'd say that Paladin, Mage, Rogue, and Shaman are all very fucking good and pretty close to one another when it comes to Arena (maybe Shaman a bit less so but still close-ish).
Warlock/Hunter/Warrior are just shitty. Card choices suck for Arena, worthless/less useful hero powers. Priest CAN be very strong if you get the right card pool but it's hard to do.green shirt thursdays-

I don't get rogues tbh. I always do terrible with them. Idk why. I think I over-hero power, probably.
My thing with warlocks is the ability is great in and of itself. Life really doesn't matter as much in arena because the enemy is a lot less likely to have stuff dedicated to killing your face. And you mostly take neutral cards.

Rogues are busted as shit because their hero ability means you'll always be able to attack. Having your own hero be able to smash into an enemy for damage is more often than not the difference between board advantage and losing the game.
Warlock ability is terribly costed compared to the other card draw in the game:
Warlock: 2 mana & 2 life = 1 card
Arcane Intellect: 3 mana = 2 cards
Battle Rage: 2 mana = 1+ card
Flare: 1 mana = 1 card
Mortal Coil: 1 mana = 1 card + 1 damage
So the hero ability is pretty shitty in comparison with literally any other card draw ability in the game. Gnomish Inventor & Novice Engineer give you a minion AND a card. Plenty of other cards (Cult Master, Acolyte of Pain, Gadgetgazan Auctioneer) let you replace cards you lose, and none of them involve having to lose 2HP to do it.
In constructed play, Warlock ends up working because it can build board control with minions then use the hero power when you're safe to build card advantage, waiting for removal/wipes. In arena play, you can't guarantee you'll get enough things to protect you enough to warrant the ability being useful. At least IMO -- aggro tends to win in Arena, and Warlock aggro isn't really a thing.green shirt thursdays-

Hmm.
The other thing is Warlock ALWAYS has the card draw, and doesn't have to get a card first. Also, health doesn't matter until you get to 0 (or molten giant/mortal strike).
Imo, there are like 3 ways to lose.
1) All your cards in hand are too expensive to play and your opponent gains huge leads in tempo and wins off that. (Earlygame)
2) You run out of cards in hand before your opponent does. (Lategame)
3) Your hit points run out, before either of the others happen. eg, to pyroblast. (Life)
In my experience, aggro decks lose because of lategame. Most "aggro" wins are due to a lack of earlygame on the part of the opponent. Warlock is great because the risk of lategame fails is way less. You are completely screwed if earlygame happens because you can't hero power out of it, but hey, most classes are screwed if they don't get early cards.
The big thing is that the only real constant you have in arena is the hero power. Looking purely at hero powers.
Warrior and hunter interact with just life, which makes them bad for arena.
Priest helps lategame and life.
Druid helps all game AND both aspects of life, but not both at once.
Rogue helps earlygame tons, lategame not so much, but loses on life.
Warlock helps lategame a TON, but loses on life.
Shaman helps mostly your lategame, although early game is kinda cool.
Paladin works both early and late.
Mage is allgame + offensive life.
My arena tier list overall is something like
Paladin/Shaman
Mage/Druid
Priest/Warlock
Hunter
Rogue/Warrior-

Eh? Aggro in this context doesn't mean fast small dudes, it means constantly PLAYING attacking threats to whittle away their health bar. If you're building an aggro deck with no fatties for late game then you're doing it wrong.
I think Paladin/Mage/Rogue are all tier 1.
Druid/Shaman tier 2.
Priest is okayish tier 2.5
Shit tier is Hunter/Warrior/Warlock.green shirt thursdays-

Rogue from my experience has typically been either the nuts or the absolute worst--no in between.
I'd typically rank the classes
Druid/Paladin/Mage
Warlock/Shaman/Priest
Warrior/Hunter
