Dune! A world covered completely in dry, sandy desert, where water is the single most precious resource, sandstorms far fiercer than blizzards rage; and if you're out in there unequipped, if the sand, heat, and dryness don't get you, the 400-meter sandworms that burrow around the desert almost certainly will.

Home sweet home, eh?

Two competing Great Houses - the Atreides and the Harkonnens - have come to this world, seeking to mine it for the precious spice of spices, melange, that is so greatly desired by all in the galaxy (the Bene Gesserit and the Spacers in particular) and seems to grow only here, on Arrakis.

But who can say which side will win this battle, and claim Dune for themselves... and where will the planet's indigenous people, the Fremen, go in this? Who can say?

Everyone gets up and gathers as a symbolic new day dawns above the desert world of Arrakis.

It isn't long, though, before you notice Yosarian2 is missing from your midst. It seems obvious that the death was caused by a hunter-seeker; the hideous little metal device had burrowed through the chest and directly into the heart, causing nearly instant death. Yosarian was, in fact, merely a humble Fremen maid in the service of the Atreides family.
