"To entertain you, let's conduct an experiment Ryuk. I am going to demonstrate how anti-social people will start accusing each other of foul play. What's better, this town is full of people who do not know each other. So, Mayor Quinby is going to disable his car's brakes and go for a drive, which will make people think he was killed by some evildoers. Their reaction will be to attack each other wildly. From here on out, let's see how it plays out."

Now being hunted, the secret mafia group is forced to actually undergo killing off potential threats in the town. They have limited the pool down to the marauders who are gathering to hunt them down. Brilliantly, they join the elite squadron, who come from various backgrounds, former doctors, jailkeepers, and cops! But are any of their skills going to put to use? After all, this is just a small group organization. Wait, this card on the floor! A significant plot device revealing that at least one of the thirteen people attending the meeting are members of the mafia! Paranoia sets in, and so we have our setting.

The players will be trapped in the room each day, unsure but generally having an idea of who is among them. They are allowed to leave each night only because they all agree they can't stand to see each other. In their suicidal "let's get down to it way," they have decided to kill one person each day until they can remove the whole infestation! The mafia will try to kill the other until they can overpower what few remains. Why not simply arrest and investigate each person? Because then this game would have no purpose, stop asking questions, DON'T CRITICIZE ME.

Welcome players to JK9++. This opening post is a singularly pointless piece of pathetic story telling from a crappy (decent? good? terri-bad?) moderator. For this game, the roles are semi-open. I will post an example of every possible role in the game as I would send them out. However, the variable nature of this set-up limits the roles, but it does not entail that every possible role will be used. Instead, the wiki has an excellent explanation of how this set-up will play out based on chance. I will be using random.org for all necessary chance decisions as required by Mafiascum guidelines.

Below will be rules I have used before and I expect players to realize that we are all human beings here. As such, the rules are bound to be imperfect and despite any urge you may have to find a crafty "way-out," you will find yourself mod-killed and permabanned from any games I might moderate in the future. Based on the fact that I am generally very easy going as a moderator (if not mildly OCD about getting vote counts out often) this should not be a problem.

How to play
1) You must participate in the ongoing game.

2) If no consensus is reached by deadline, then there is a no lynch.

3) You vote with a bolded vote: Vote: Light-kun

4) Your goal is to play to your win condition. Failing to do so will result in a replacement (or mod-kill if necessary).

Activity

5) Any player who hasn't posted in three days will be prodded. From there, they have another two days to open their prod. After three prods, the player will be replaced. If two days pass, the player will be replaced.

6) If you know you will be inactive for more than a two-day period (weekends counting as one day), please inform me either in thread or by sending me a PM. Posting in the V/LA thread is meaningless because I don't read it.

7) Each day will have a deadline equal to the number of players multiplied times 3. This will be days=3n, where n=number of players.

8) Do not discuss this game outside this thread, unless you have a role which allows this. If you have a role that allows you to discuss this game outside this thread, do so only as the role PM allows you to.
