Pretty much what Rob said, though I think there are exceptions; for example, when Claus added Chiselled Stone Bricks as a prize for my maze on the vanilla server, they were unobtainable and purely decorative. I don't have a problem with that so long as the quantities are kept sensible.

(also obviously we should Op in Ultimate Solar Helms if someone can provide a QSuit Helm, HV Solar Array, 2 advanced circuits, an HV transformer and 2 superconductors - normally it requires an Ultimate Hybrid Solar panel, but the HV Solar Array is the closest equivalent in this modpack)

I agree with the second exception because it's correcting a weakness in the modpack.

I somewhat agree with the first. First, I want to note that it is important the blocks are unobtainable normally. If you can't normally obtain the blocks (such as the chiselled stone bricks or the ultimate solar helm) then there should be some method of getting them spawned in. However, I feel that it's important that they aren't spawned in for FREE because they're unobtainable. I think in the scenario you described, OPs should require the person running a contest or w/e to "pay" for the blocks (whatever the OPs deem fair - kind of like they're doing for the ultimate solar helm for instance) and then lava the payment. That way you still have to obtain the blocks yourself more-or-less; the OPs just facilitate the obtainment of the blocks because they're normally unobtainable.

On the other hand, I think the price of all unobtainable blocks should be relatively high so that they remain relatively difficult to obtain.

For example, I would say the price of a stack of chiseled stone bricks could be a full barrel of stone (not cobble - stone) and a full barrel of bricks.

Withers must be vanquished in a Mystcraft Age, either we can make a public Wither age, or you can make a throw-away age for the purpose. They are not to be unleashed in others' ages without consent. They are not to be unleashed in the overworld, the end, the nether, the twilight forest, or the public mining age. Any abuse of breaking of these results will result in loss of the nether star amongst other things
