Mish Mash Towers, contrary to suggestion, had no towers. This sleek, glossy, five-star hotel stood alone next to a calm lake. The hotel was ten stories high. It was filled with the newest furniture. It contained all the necessary commodities to support a splendid life. And it was empty. Mish Mash Towers was empty and stood alone. Well, almost empty and alone.
To the south, guarded by a thin line of forest, stood a lone manor. It's owner was undoubtedly rich. And let's not forget famous. But no one had seen the owner of the manor for quite some time. The beautiful manor, with its acres of territory, fountains, ponds, and hidden riches stood empty like the Mish Mash Towers. Well, almost empty.
Then one day, both were tired of being almost empty and almost alone. A strange mail boy scurried around town, slipping letters into the mailboxes of a lucky and select few. Each contained the same information. Each was signed
Gordy Namuen.
The mail boy was anything but a boy, and there was no such person as Gordy Namuen.
For several days, appointments were made. Gordy Namuen talked and talked and talked. Gordy Namuen coaxed and Gordy Namuen coaxed some more. One by one they came, and one by one, they left. Who were these people? What was so special about them? They were brothers and sisters; sons and daughters; mothers, fathers, and all sorts of related words. Some were students. One was a biller. Some aspiring film makers and authors. Oh yeah, one was a burglar, one was a pyro, and one, as it happened, was a murderer.
This is a game. The main objective is to have fun.

This is a mystery game. The secondary objective is to make sense of the clues and snag the prize.

You may communicate with one another via AIM or other instant messaging systems so long as you provide a copy of the discussion either through a PM to me or through posting the conversation [in its entirety] within your quick topic.
Note: These rules (4 and 4.a) will be subject to change, but the primary reason for their existence at the moment is to ensure privacy

You are not to quote the mod unless given permission to do so. Paraphrasing may be acceptable, but please run the content by me before posting.

Special Rules/Mechanics

Gatherings - you have the option of creating gatherings at any time both within and outside of Mish Mash Towers. This could be in the form of
Parties in a tenant's room
Organizing a meeting or group in the Mish Mash Cafe
Hanging out by the pool
Camping in the Mish Mash Forest
Taking a trip to the Abandoned Manor

The Game:

Number of players: 16, divided into 8 pairs.
9.
Each pair will receive $10,000.
10.
Each pair will receive one set of clues.
11.
Each individual player will receive one of the mahogany boxes, inside which is something that may or may not be of any importance to you in this game.
12. Disqualifications and/or Forfeits:
If any player drops out, their partner must also leave the game. The pair must return all money they have been given. Absent pairs forfeit the $10,000; their clues will be withheld until the next session.
13. Injuries and/or Fatalities:
If any player is injured, be it minor or mortal damage, their partner is still able to participate in the game, though will not receive the full amount of money given at each summit.
14.
Players will be given several days notice prior to the next session. Each pair must then give one answer.
15.
Object of the game: Avoid suspicion, lie to your friends, and eliminate your enemies. Not really. The object of the game is to: make use of the clues you have been given; to learn all you can about actions within this game; and to be the first group to provide a correct answer during a session.
16.
At certain points in the game, confessional questions will be posted in thread. All players
must
respond to these. Failure to provide responses to the questions more than four times may result in your eviction from the Mish Mash Towers, and your abdication of any items earned.
