Ok my question for IC's. The mafia game in general seems to reward lurking. How is this normally dealt with?

This game tormented me with doubting myself and made me want to try to type less to try to blend in more. Somewhere along the line I decided to lay it all out there and it seems to have backfired.

Did anything in this game that I did make any sense? Was I at point an asset to the town?

Not even sure if I want to sign up for another game lol.

Prods, pressuring the lurkers, asking them direct questions, that kind of thing. You can't let the lurkers get away with lurking, and if not for the pace of this game, the lurking wouldn't have happened.

I think you definitely could have been. You were just the victim of me being really focused on getting you lynched. If not for the fact that I was scum, you probably would have been listened to a little bit more. I was just able to find every little thing that you did wrong that was enough to make you look scummy. Just make your arguments a bit clearer for the next time and read some older games to see what people look for.

Try another one. It probably won't be as plagued by lurking as this one and you might enjoy it more. They're not all as lurky as this one, believe me.

What type of games should I read? Should I only read noob games for now? Or would you be able to recommend any really good games to read?

Read a few newbie games if you just want the basics. If you want to read some more in-depth games, here are a couple good normal games that you can learn some stuff from:

If you want to read complete insanity. It was still a great game, but very confusing:

Woo, I was completely and totally wrong.

I still say good game to Has and Reality fan. Has just looked town in a game full of awfulness, like some kind of beacon of sense, and Reality Fan's thought process was just to similar to mine.

You made some mistakes is all. Calm down and don't get so focused on one person that you can't look at everyone else. Also, mindlessly bandwagoning outside of the opening stages of the game isn't that great. Don't do that = (

Your focus on Nhat was what killed you, and made me think you were scum. Especially that comment at the beginning of day 3 (in case you couldn't tell)

Perfect game for the scum, my hats off to you. Can you tell me why you guys decided to off me in N2?

All in all, I think this game could have been a lot better if:

A) Conqueso didn't out his role so quickly
B) Xtoxm didn't hammer himself
C) Killa Seven would have been left alive like the mod had stated in the rules.

Besides that, it was quite fun. I think I'll hop into another newb game.

You were easily the most town. I really couldn't find a whole lot that you did that I would've been able to twist into scumminess that could be lynched, and since you were the least lynchable, you were the best choice for a NK.

It was an interesting game for me, partly because it was the first one I survived. Congratulations to the scum, perfect play for them!

I realize now that hasdgfas is quite the crafty one. The first game on his suggested reading list almost mirrors this one. Winning when you are mafia 101 by hasdgfas. I'm gonna start reading the second one right now.

While its still open i have another question. On day one I got myself in trouble by trying to randomly bandwagon a second person after conqueso's wagon failed. I was thinking that it would cause someone else to be under pressure and spill some info. I didnt really see why this was bad.

I think I do now...almost ends up like a long painful massclaim which I am now coming to see is a bad thing in most cases (via the second game on the list.) It also kind of distracts from the other wagon. So unless everyone unvotes to start fresh a second random wagon really isn't possible (at least it's not a good idea). Is this right?
