The first thought that jumps to my head is that scum voting first Day Two was likely an error. Getting OMGUS'd is inevitable, and once that happens, without a quicklynch, one or the other of you is certainly scum: increasing the chance of you being scum from the other players' standpoint from 40% to 50%. You also increase the other player's chance of being scum from the other townies' standpoint, which might be an acceptable trade in some games, but probably not in this one considering you and your partner are lovers.

That being said, scum conducted themselves well, and came close to pulling it off. It came down to a coinflip with mith calling it.

i saw that ort was scum about the same time you posted your case on him, plum. but yeah, his reaction to lynching you threw me a bit. Never trust scum. Lesson learned.
