Declare me as a non-volunteer, UK.
Also, sue me. I just traveled 350+ miles across state trying to get a handle on fall housing.
I will admit that UK giving justification for frequent outbursts is a healthy difference from the games I've read involving her. At least, it's town points in a player who I'd find naturally scummy.
I'll go with an easjo lynch if time becomes an advancing concern, though I'm not entirely satisfied just yet."Not exactly related to the topic as a whole but what's the deal with putting quotes in your signature that have no relevance to your own life?" - Ythan

What justification did I give for being a bitch again? Outside of the one I normally give for people being stupid? (And at least I'm trying to cut doewn).
And, what's hilarious, Pitt, is despite the fact I apparently come off as naturally scummy, no one ever seems to try to lynch me. Hell, I just came out of a lylo getting dayvigged by scum instead of lynched ."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

UK: I no longer think (if I did) that VV is scum. I read him as scum in a game this is almost like a 180 from that game.
I do have Pitt and Easjo on my scum list right now. vIQleS disappeared and hasn't said much and the last time I thought chrono was town he was scum so I have a more steady uncertain eye on him (yeah this is from Pledge)
Anyways that's my scum list and as for me I'm not around as much these days.

A) Yes organises the town, which is usually good, but in this circumstance isn'tUK wrote:A) Organizes town
B) While not guaranteed to catch scum, has a far better chance of doing so than not synchronizing would (granted, that chance is still small. But better than 0, as your lack of plan would be)
C) Planned sleep cycles prevent town from derping up and causing scum to wake up with a majority, though this is more relevant in later game.
D) There is a fourth reason. I'm not sure if I should say it at this time since it invalidates itself if said. Suffice it to say it has good use for catching scum not directly related to the mechanic. But there is a strong fourth reason I haven't stated before and am not stating yet for organized sleep that extrapolates from the idea of organized town.
B)How? this is why I'm confused, I don't see how it can catch scum?
C)Okay, though I believe that there is only a small chance of that happening, as scum would also want tovary their sleeping patterns from each other as to be able to have at least one mafia member awake each night.
D) then you are holding information back, also you are the only one who knows this spectacular reason, so only you can act on it, not giving the rest of town to see the light on it.
the mafia doesn't gain information of when we're sleeping and be able to use it against us, knowing that they don't need to worry about certain players because they're asleep thereby targeting the one they know to be awake because they are currently a bigger threat to them. Also narrow down the pool of players that certain powers/abilities could come from.UK wrote:Since we're all repeating ourselves, how about you, once again, state how NOT organizing sleep is at ALL a good idea?
If everyone is sleeping during the day, then the mafia are guaranteed to always be up and active and killing at night, it will benefit the mafia.
If everyone sleeps whenever then mafia have to organise themselves and they don't know who is sleeping when ahead of time, preventing them from gaining another advantage.Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?

@farside: we will have to agree to disagree on obv Vasu scum then.
Since easjo is obv today's lynch.
Anyway, vIQ declared incredibly convenient V/LA, didn't it?
Oh, yay, another sparring match:
@easjo:
A) Why? You have, once again, failed to explain how this is at ALL bad for town.
B) Point D is one way. Another way is if people who SHOULD be really tired for some reason aren't due to night sleeping when they haven't been permitted to.
C) How does this even counter the point? At all? And it's not a small chance. I could see town being all like "Derp, we're tired" D3 and then just sleeping en masse because no one thought to organize.
D) Uh huh, nice try scum. The reason will become apparent when it becomes apparent. I don't plan to hold it back forever, just it's more useful hidden at this juncture.
Now, to counter you. With NUMBARS!
1) What information? What can the mafia possibly use against us by knowing when we are sleeping, during the day?
2) Wait what? Like...what is that at all about? It doesn't make sense.
This sentence just has NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT.knowing that they don't need to worry about certain players because they're asleep thereby targeting the one they know to be awake because they are currently a bigger threat to them
3) The next sentence fails for the same reason as the previous.
4) Countered by the fact a limited number of people are asleep during the day. Meaning the mafia are almost guaranteed to suffer some ill effects unless they are sleeping at night. OH HEY, since there will be mafiates who SHOULD be tired and won't be, this works for catching scum.
5) Why is the mafia organizing themselves a good thing? I mean, I see your point (and didn't at first), but don't think it outweighs the scum catching points I've made at all. In fact, even what I thought I saw isn't a good argument since it still assumes that at some point we'll be telling people who's sleeping when, i.e. organization. If that's not the point then, once again, you are alluding to vague advantages that don't actually exist.
tl;dr: Easjo is using scare tactics and misinformation to further her (bad) points. And in fact reaffirming she is scum since only scum really have a use for these tactics.
Please notice that, while I have a component of "Scum will take over the town" scariness, I also have relatively solid good for us reasons which are lacking in your counterpoints. I also mention at least semi solid ways that the plan benefits town, whereas you stick to vague scum "advantages" .
This specious arguing of yours benefits scum far more than any organized sleep cycle ^-^."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Ok, so, seriously, this list bugs me:
Sleeping tomorrow maybe:
Nikanor
Kenman
ABR
Chronopie
I'm pretty sure there's scum in it. I'm tempted to volunteer for sleep to kick one of them out, since I think there's only one scum. Only problem is, I don't know which one it is, and I'm not sure we'll end up with enough people voting on it to make it work.
In other news, easjo needs votes bad."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

Prodded. I've been purposefully lurking because I haven't really had much to say that I haven't already said. But apparently I have to post now, so here I am.
I still don't like the sleep plan UK is proposing. I tend to agree with easjo's opinion that nothing we can do by organizing sleep schedules according to UK's plan will guarantee us catching scum.
On the contrary, like I said earlier, anything that requires us to sleep any more thanabsolutely necessarywill result in an underabundance of townie votes in comparison to scum votes, especially during later days.
If it's not clear that I hold UK's entire proposal in high disdain, I don't know how else to spell it out for you. I am under the impression that she's town, but I think she's a) barking up the wrong tree(s), and b) PMSing for no good reason.
I generally agree with most of Pitt's 243.
And let me spin my Wheel of Fortune really quick....

Annnnd.... apparently we need a lynch today pretty badly.
Unvote; vote: easjo682
I still think ABR IS SCUM though. Which would also potentially explain UK's uneasiness expressed in 288.

See, RC, my problem with your problems is...you just have rhetoric there. You don't have any logic to back up your view. I've produced logical points for why organized sleep is good. You'd just said it's bad without reasoning.
I'd appreciate it if you provided some ^-^.

Ok, question and answer time.
1. How does sleeping more than absolutely necessary help townies? Answer: It doesn't.
2. What is to stop scum from sleeping at night when it benefits them? Answer: Nothing.
3. Do I feel like your speculation/planning is helping out scumhunting? Answer: Not especially.
4. Do I like your attitude toward anyone who disagrees with you? Answer: Absolutely not.

1. Where did I say we needed to sleep more than necessary? Realize that necessary can be argued to be "every two phases"
2. Except the fact they'd be OBVIOUSLY CAUGHT.
3. Do I care? You're just wrong, since we've already caught one scum .
4. Once again, do I care? To be fair, I am trying to be a little nicer. I sometimes forget how special some players are ^-^."Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

1. Having anyone sleep tomorrow seems like they're sleeping before they absolutely have to. Am I wrong?
2. How do you propose to catch scum who sleep at night without 'authorization' from the UK Secret Police?
3. Do you care? You should. And if easjo flips town, I'll be the one doing the laughing.
4. Once again, you should. Your attitude opens up a can of omguswifom that is better left closed.Show"Take me to Pleasure Town!" "Look, the most Glorious Rainbow Ever!" "Do me on it!" -

1. Yes, you are wrong. Effects start to show after two consecutive cycles. Or are you proposing that we end up clusterfucking D3 and giving scum a free lynch? Cause I really hope you aren't.
2. Because, you see, certain people will be forced into sleep deprivation mode. The scummiest people, you see. That's how the plan works. And if they AREN'T being put into sleep dep, then obviously they cheated and need to be instalynched.
3. If easjo flips town I'll be revisiting a couple ISOs since I have a couple other ideas of where scum might be based on easjo's flip.
4. Only an idiot would assume I'm merely OMGUSing. You aren't an idiot, are you RC?"Never have I seen anybody glorify their own lynch."

1. No. I'm just saying that I don't think this plan is going to work that well, mostly for the reason in 2.1.
2.1. Who decides which players aren't allowed to sleep, and are forced into sleep deprivation mode? You?
2.2. And I reiterate: What is to stop scum from sleeping at night, alternating nights, and maintaining a healthy level of sanity regardless of whether or not you 'allow' them to sleep in the daytime? You're gonna base this entirely off results that take 2 days to manifest themselves? This clearly puts your plan at a major disadvantage, which is why I disagree with it.
3. Closed.
4 (now 3): I'm talking about them omgusing you, stupid. It doesn't move discussion along, creates a diversion which allows scum to skate by without being questioned (because everyone begins to tunnel on the argument you're having), and ends up creating rotten feelings between townies that wouldn't otherwise be there, creating distrust where there was none before, and possible future mislynching as well. Surely you can understand this. You're not an idiot, are you?
With regards to your plan: As Obi-Wan Kenobi would say: "Who is more foolish, the fool, or the fool who follows him?"
