Thanks for that assurance ubertimmy... not like anyone'd come out saying their anti-town... except for those curable SKs (BmQ).

I've seen both, usually pro though.

Unvote

Nothing really thus far.. interesting that we have BigAl as a double-voter, but as BJ said, that's a traditionally pro-town role, so we don't really need to home in on him just yet. It's pretty easy to associate that ability with both Atreides roles and Harkonnen scum, though, so I also think we should be a tad wary of that in this game; note that both groups are political powerhouse which could plausibly have that power in a flavorful way.

Talitha's in this game! Yay! Hi Tally!

Wow, this is shaping up to be one of the most eventful day 1s I've seen in a long time. Partial claim by page 2? My oh my.
Pure speculation for now: The exta vote can easily be either pro-town or anti-town. It usually seems to me that a power like that would generally be given to a political type rike. In the world of Dune, I feel like this fits most into House Harkonenn, which would indicate a negative effect and is my general feeling on it. However, it could also be a House Atreides thing so it's obviously not a strong enough basis to vote.

Lightening note: wow, post really early in the morning and completely forgot to look back over other posts.
Mostly on the same track of Maz, but either way it's a powerful role that should not be taken lightly.

Sorry for the double post.

could see that, could see it as a Bene Gesserit use of Voice, also. we could have him name claim...

I don't think it would work as a political flavor device in this game, because most politics in Dune take place behind-the-door, whereas voting is public. I'd think someone like the Baron or Duke would have a "stay" type ability, governor-style; power of accusation would belong to someone with more public power or perhaps someone like Hawat using his influence.

my "guess" would be Lady Jessica using the Voice, or another Bene Gesserit, or maybe Stilgar.

Wait I don't get it. Right after the first vote count, where we see:
Shamrock wrote:Our First Vote Count

Talitha - 2 (BabyJesus, N_lich)
Maz Medias - 3 (bigAl, ubertimmy)

flyingm00c0w - 1 (Ameliaslay)
BabyJesus - 2 (Maz Medias, Talitha)
ubertimmy - 2 (Nazgul, Tamuz)
Tamuz - 1 (flyingm00c0w)

Not Voting - 1 (Uraj45)
Then Ubertimmy replies with:
ubertimmy wrote:Unvote.
Shamrock, I think you made a mistake.
Doesn't he know he's a doublevoter? Or was he trying to mislead and coverup the fact that he is? I'm confused. Why make such a remark?

Well, BJ guessed it. I'm Stilgar, the leader of the Fremen Sietch Tabr. I didn't want to reveal it right away because I figure it makes me a huge target. So, I didn't plan on random voting. Then, idiotically, I did. So, either way, it's out now.

Stilgar's a prominent enough role that I'm happy for now. Unless of course someone's counterclaiming?

well, that's ok for now. I would have thought Stilgar was a vig, but if uber's lying we'll know. We should focus on lynching Maz Medias now.

I prefer to have company on my vote.

But not too much company.

This early on, anyway.
