Could y'all explain the reasoning?
I'd like an Arakorn alternative, for the moment, and still no one has stuck with Sir Wario, so:
MeMe, you quoted hisMeMe wrote:"Let's just lynch anyone and hope day ends" is not what the dude said and is not what I agreed with.
(emphasis mine)MeMe wrote:Hear hear.gorckat wrote:I will wagon whomever needs to be wagonned to lynch. At this point, I just want this fucking game to go to night so that something will happen.
Nope, that's why I voted for Dead Rikumaru.MeMe wrote:The day will end, with or without a lynch, and it's better for it to be WITH a lynch. Do you disagree?
That's all well and good -- again, the problem I had is that you agreed with the sentiment that you couldn't wait for the game to go to night, and presumably were moving forward with that as a basis for your actions.MeMe wrote:I'll switch my vote at deadline if that's whatnecessaryto ensure a lynch. That's not mypreference, but I'll do it if that's what has to be done to make sure we get some information.
Alright, I get what you're on about now.Guardian wrote:MeMe, you quoted hisMeMe wrote:"Let's just lynch anyone and hope day ends" is not what the dude said and is not what I agreed with.whole postand said "hear hear" implying agreement with his post:
(emphasis mine)MeMe wrote:Hear hear.gorckat wrote:I will wagon whomever needs to be wagonned to lynch. At this point, I just want this fucking game to go to night so that something will happen.
The latter sentiment, which you also approved of, is what I find troubling -- "wanting the game to go to night" is an excuse to lynch anyone convenient. Do younotagree with his whole post?
Yeah, sorry my mistake.MeMe wrote:Alright, I get what you're on about now.
First: I didn't quote his whole post
That's reasonable .MeMe wrote:but I do agree with the parts I did quote, though I seem to interpret them differently than you do.
You seem to be reading the whole thing as an action plan & I'm reading it as an assurance & a statement of frustration. So, basically, I'm saying "me too" to wagoning to ensure a lynch AND being tired of this endless nothing-happening day.
To be clear: I was not saying that I was interested in a pre-deadline lynch (something I think would be pretty impossible anyway -- seven needed votes??).
That is a good reason. I don't claim to have read particularly carefully -- I assume you said that at the time?MeMe wrote:As for why I'm voting Arakorn? Because, at the time I voted him -- soupfly was the leading votee & I donotlike the idea of a soupfly lynch.
That also makes sense. Why not say "alrighty then" when, for example, I suggested Sir Wario or Sikario8, or when Tarhalindur suggested gorckat?MeMe wrote:gorckat suggested Arakorn as a possibility and, since I find him to be completely useless, I thought "alrighty then." He might claim to have lots of school work, but healsoclaims to have read the thread and to have (at least at the point I voted him) no leading suspects.
And here I thought it was me replacing in.MeMe wrote:And, for the record, I do NOT want Jenter to extend the deadline. The only thing that seems to have sparkedanyactivity in this game is the threat of pending deadline
Again, not sure that's true, but I also support the deadline staying in place.MeMe wrote: -- take that away, and I think we'll go right back down to "almost dead" status.
Wow, when you put it that way, Arakorn lynch seems rather appealing. Why not bring out more of those ideas earlier?MeMe wrote:Loaded language much, neko?
1) "simply because you find him useless" -- indicates both that it's only my opinion, rather than fact, that he's been unhelpful AND that useless isn't that big of a deal
2) "really think" -- indicates that I might have, at this point, acted contrary to my actual thoughts
3) "not care whether or not" -- well, I don't even need to explain that to anyone
Let me askyou: do you really think that being present but unwilling to pick a leading suspect when 1) everyone's been asked to do so and 2) it's been pointed out we're under deadline istownishbehavior? Or could it be scum waiting to be "convinced" by other players so that he need not make a decision for which he must take responsibility? (Bear in mind that Arakorn has since voted gorckat -- but only after Guardian called his post "remarkably like scum talk.")
rofl .MeMe wrote:Or -- in words you might more readily recognize: do you really think that players have no responsibility to be helpful? I mean, do you really think that Arakorn is town? Do you not care if he's scum?
I apologize if that hurt your feelings, neko -- I thought it was appropriate to show you how hard it is to respond to a string of questions worded the way you worded them. Sounds more like an attack than an actual desire forneko2086 wrote:I don't appreciate being mocked.
You joined on page 11. It was pretty clearly under 10. People said something to that effect just about every page due to replacement issues.Arakorn wrote:I think it was something under 10, I was reading posts where people said "so should we start now?". (It struck me how the game could have been several pages of spam though...)
