It's rather sad how many serious votes come close to resembling the above monstrosity.

Greetings all!

Time to test something. I wil be using condorcet voting no more than a week out from here, and encourage everyone else to do the same. I also strongly encourage lynching before the deadline (as Michael Sableheart notes).

(I must say, vollkan, I'm intrigued at how scum percentages for everyone start at 50% when it's unlikely that 50% of the players are scum. Perhaps it's just an extra bit of paranoia. ;) Answer if you like, though I'm sure too much discussion on it will prove more distraction than assistance.)

Vote: curiouskarmadog.

I'll answer this, because it won't be any significant distraction and I can deal with it briefly.

My habitual use of a % sign is frankly a little misleading because it implies probability, when it really just means "ranking out of 100". Better to just think of my system as 1 to 100 scale. The 50 (or 50%) position just indicates neutrality (as in "neutral until proven either way" rather than "innocent/guilty until proven guilty/innocent"). I could also just use -100 to 100 with the neutral position being 0 if I wanted to (but old habits die hard).

I find a numerical scale helps me to express my relative suspicions of people clearer.

There is no 'a' in Michel.

Also, I guess you're testing whether a vote on one of the missing players will register? Guess that is a good idea. Let's see if there is a difference between the way they are treated.

Based on your ridiculous rules, you are not going to enjoy playing with me. It is probably best that we remove you from the system as soon as humanly possible.

I am happy with Primspar's vote. I suggest we purge this entity as soon as humanly possible. Cowboy up!

Pooky is such
obvious
scum that he is at 100%. Other players are at 50%.

@Glorkspar: With the amount of objections you have raised to my policies, I am pleased that we have gotten our differences up-front right away. I'd rather not get into a humongous theory debate with you. We don't have to agree to play the game, but it helps to know our differences.

@volkan: On number 3: So we should give reasons not to live in fear that you will degrade us in your opinion. A townie's aim isn't to stay alive. A townie's aim is to find scum. Even if it means it is at the expense of themselves.\

On number 6: I agree. Bandwagonning while barning is a scum tell, but bandwagonning with sufficient ORIGINAL reasoning is ok

On number 9: If you make a mistake, we should ignore them because you still might be town...nice.

On general. I don't like the fact that you destroyed the random voting stage and are already trying to lead the town into following your reasoning, not their own.

Assuming that the purpose of the vote is to find out if votes on missing persons register, what's the point of a second one? Is there really a possibility that single votes will register but wagons won't?

I was looking for a reason to bandwagon, and the one I found was Thesp's test.

I bolded Sarcastro because I am currently voting for Sarcastro to check if votes on him register. I did not put him at the top of my list because there are a large number of players who I would rather lynch then someone who is missing.

MM: The main reason there is for bandwagoning is, AFAIK, to get reactions. How are you going to get reactions from someone who isn't there?
