How does claiming Kira = retarded? (Fake caliming excluded as that is retarded, claim itself is not) And why is he automatically considered to be a jester?

Panzer, can we compare our "caught" scum in terms of best lynch material. All I'm seeing recently on Lloyd is his scummy vote. I still don't see why Than/Jester isn't the lynch candidate so it's hard for me to switch over. And with Guardian all Thys crazy the vote pool is getting very shallow.

I'll go first.

So Than makes a claiming joke, no bad intentions or what not, just trying to connect with his partners. He gets into a bit of hot water for it, and then lashes out becuase his partner did not help him the way he hoped. Jester does his whole "well okay, than ignore my above post on Than." Than sees good attempt to bus, so he goes for it. Jester, seriously this guy is known for his overly bussing on other sites, attacks back. Than later does the whole "Although, if Jester did bring it up, which I mustive missed, then I retreat my claim on Jester's actions. " So far we have a fairly "directed" antagonistic fight. (Than's joke was directed at Jester, not implying night communication here or anything) Each person has said "Oh well then forget what I said" in some way, shape, or post. Than is scummy for the stupid claim, and Jester is just plain scum.

Granted this is all speculation, kinda forced a bit, lots of room for strawmanning I know... And I hate judging another's affiliation... All the more reason I want jester lynched.

Ok your turn... what makes lloyd a better lynch, and why should I switch my vote?

Also Than has been "lurkish" in every game I am in with him, often gone for a week+ at times.

Other than that, though, I agree with everything in your post, Korlash. Even that my claim was scummy. It was a stupid attempt at a joke, and I messed up. I honestly don't know what I was thinking.

I select avatars based on google picture searches for terms like "cool guy", the avatar I end up getting might be something I know nothing about.

It seems like he has been buddying up to Urza and distancing to Jester and Lovo. He also lurked all throughout the Urza and Korlash situation and only making comments on it once the situation completely diffuses. Seems to want to avoid attention and is really protective of Urza. Also tried to half as distance from Urza in order to later say he doesn't buddy up to him. I honestly think Llyod is scum and is today's best lynch. All this is in addition to a strong gut feeling.

Llyod is clearly scum and nothing sense the PBPA has helped him any. I think Lovo is scum as well.

He made a joking role claim, actually.

His was significantly different in that he jokingly claimed to be scum -- but I know many players (myself included) who find that scum are more likely to joke than townies. Develop comraderie with the townies, sense of trust, also relax some nervous tension.

While you didn't quite go so far as to joke claim scum, you did jokingly claim. And the same principle is kind of in action here -- why joke about your role? What's "funny" about it? etc.

Seriously, Panzer? Kira would be scum, but he also wouldn't be in this game's flavor, so you're really splitting hairs. I was making a joke about Jesters avatar, and a recognition that I knew where his avatar was from. Judge me by my actions, not an off-handed comment. I don't really care if I look more suspicious for it. I know, in hindsight, that it was stupid, so I deserve that much punishment at least, but to base a vote on it? Because it worked once before? That's downright silly.

I can't defend myself with anything other than what I've been saying. "It's a joke." That's all there is to say. Could we stop distracting everyone from what else is going on (mainly you, panzer V. Lloyd) with a fruitless conversation, or do you have something new to add to this?

Cavebear seems to have paid attention only to the major wagons in this game, hopping from one to the other, being somewhat cautious, calling out others for lurking, and other than calling out lurkers having very little original thought.

Speaking of being tentative and cautions -- Cavebear is the only one not voting.

The reason I'm not voting is because I'm still confused by the game. Too much joking, not enough sharing reasons for suspicions. I would've voted Tyhess, but I thought a prod would be more useful in this situation. Voting lurkers does nothing if they don't even see it. That being said, I do find lots of people more or less suspicious. In alphabetical order:

Guardian: Went after Tyhess for lurking, abandoned him for another lurker (Thanatos; Guardian's words not mine) for no apparent reason, and is now after me for being after lurkers (among other things).

RangeroftheNorth: Was willing to have a quick lynch and didn't respond to why, returned briefly before he conveniently disappearing again after promising to add something meaningful. That was two weeks ago.

Thanatos: Made an odd claim, disappeared for two weeks and explained it away with having been on holiday for a week (note discrepancy). Hasn't added anything to the discussion since he got back.

The Jester: A joker. Seemed willing to do a quick lynch at first, seems less suspicious of late.

Tyhess: A lurker.

UA: A bigger joker. If he's got reasons for doing anything, he's not sharing them. Doesn't make him scummy as such, but adds to the confusion which I don't regard as pro-town playing. Is it so much to ask that you post things that aren't just distracting?



Regarding Lloyd: The person with the biggest wagon right now. Maybe this is my inexperience showing, but I don't see the big thing he's done wrong. The biggest thing on him seems to be that he thought Thanatos claimed to start discussion. Panzerjager seems to base a lot of his reasoning on a gut feeling (and ignored my plea to lay out his case) and Guardian's reasoning that "words are scummy"... No, I honestly don't understand what you mean. Would you care to clarify?

In short, I'm not at all sure who deserves lynching today. You've got a point though, I should use my vote.
