Sounds cool -- will you list how many/who are playing? And the rules say "up to the total." Is the total simply the sum of the amounts submitted, or have you a preset pot?

When someone's asked to leave, you said they take half of what they accumulated in prior rounds. Does the other half get put back into the pot?

Since there's only $1 million for the entire game, I'd assume it's quite possible that we'll run out of cash while we've still got more than one person divvying it up. Or is it $1 million per round? Also, if someone submits $0 for a round, is that the last round they get to play? Do they leave the game at that point or is it kind of like "bank" in "Weakest Link"? Man, this didn't seem nearly so confusing at first glance.

And winner is person with the most cash at the end of the game, even if they were previously asked to leave, right?

And I'll probably resubmit an amount pending answers to questions, gslamm. If you don't mind, just delete what I sent already.

That's right. The only meaningful glory comes in beating mathcam...regardless of margin.

And why is everyone considering only whole dollar amounts? After all this discussion, I'd probably submit $.01. Ha! Now that's no longer a hidden strategy for either of you!

Whatever
your plan, do it quick so we can play again.

OK – you robbers robbed a place and now it’s time to divvy it up!

Round 2:

Fishbulb tried to grab $59,000 and is subsequently mocked and forced to return half of what was already in his pockets. Thoth decided that there are more important things in life than having more cash (awww) – he took nothing this round and left the safe house. As for the rest of you…

First number is take this round, second is total so far:
  • mathcam (48,000)......$142,500
  • rover (46,655)..............$134,297
  • gslamm (36,444).............$133,844
  • Stewie (24,888).................$123,776
  • rite (33,989)........................$103,987
  • PBuG (50,000).......................$100,000
  • Kerplunk (34,999)....................$84,998
    -------------------------------------------------------
  • Yanqush $0
  • Fishbulb $43,500
  • Thoth $83,886
$49,212 left in the pot

Cops rolled a 14

Round 3 begins now.

Round 3:

Money grubbing PBuG had the $25,000 halfway to his pocket before everyone in the room got wise to his shenanigans. You send him packing with $50,000 (half his prior take). On the non-greedy end of the spectrum, rOver declines further funds and gets while the getting’s good. Here’s what else happened:

First number is take this round, second is total so far:
  • mathcam (24,300)...$166,800
  • gslamm (8,000)........$141,844
  • Stewie (4,997)...........$128,773
  • rite (19,989)................$123,976
  • Kerplunk (5,999)...........$90,997
    ----------------------------------------------
  • Yanqush $0
  • Fishbulb $43,500
  • PBuG $50,000
  • Thoth $83,886
  • rOver $134,297
$35,927 left in the pot

Cops banged down the door across the street…getting close with their roll of 6.

Round 4 begins now.

Round 4:

With the cops so close, you all make your decisions with a quickness…mathcam and gslamm decide that the hideout is too hot and they take a powder with what they’ve got.

“What the hell? If they’re just gonna leave all this perfectly good money sitting on the table, I’ll take $13,997,” rite says…greedy bastard. He’s sent packing with just $61,988.

Stewie decides he can make due with $9,988 this time and Kerplunk’s happy with $6,999.

Too bad the cops shook a 3 – and they don’t allow attaches full of cash in the slammer.

FINAL:
  • Stewie & Kerplunk – cooling their heels in lock-up

  • Yanqush...$0
  • Fishbulb......$43,500
  • PBuG............$50,000
  • rite.................$61,988
  • Thoth................$83,886
  • rOver..................$134,297
  • gslamm.................$141,844
  • mathcam.................$166,800
Nice game! We were actually heading into a round 5 if it weren’t for those pigs!

Please do...rules are on the first page. Actually, we went through several rule lists and this is the final:
gslamm wrote:Picture everyone sitting around a table in a safehouse. They write their bids on paper and then reveal them simultaneously. The greediest is forced to leave with only half his share. Others who choose to leave with him taking all their money. When the cops find the hideout
everyone who hasn't left is caught.
Heres the order of actions:
  • Players secretly bid how much to take.
  • The player who submits the highest take forfeits half his money and leaves.
  • If there is a tie
    for the highest amount
    both players forfiet and leave.
  • The players who submitted $0 leave
  • The remaining players recieve their bid amounts. Smallest to highest until all done or the pot is gone.
  • If there is only one player left they take all the remaining pot and leave.
  • The cop dice is rolled. If it is equal to or less than the round number
ALL players who have not left are captured and score $0

  • If there is any remaining money in the pot the next round begins with the players who have not left.
Just get your request in to mathcam by Monday afternoon & you're in! And that goes for
anyone
who wants to get in on Game 4.
