It's reading break and I was busy reading
The God Delusion

Thief of Time
, and
A Song for Arbonne

I take reading break's name very seriously.

I just haven't found anything to expound upon, except the mod scum theory has been disproven, and I didn't think it was able anyway.

Wait, so what are death miller masons and megalomaniac sks? Are they even real roles?
It seems to me that armlx was joking when he posted that.

A death miller mason would be a mason pair that knows the other is town, but shows up as scum when they die and show up as scum to cops.

A megalomaniac SK would be an SK that was told they could kill and maybe another ability, but they actually don't and all their night choices are voided.

And how does posting "bump" help anything? If you want to say something, at least say something productive.

What exactly do you mean by "was it a rv"?

Well, it's better to just start a bandwagon and see what we can squeeze out of it.

Rigel wrote:Why are you trying to hunt down the cop? We're on page 2, down a townie, and need all the advantages we can get without anyone exposing power roles at the moment. I don't like this train of thought you're trying to send us on.
IGMEOY: aioqwe
He points out that aioqwe is rolefishing for the cop.
Rigel wrote:Armlx, what was your actual reasoning for voting the mod? Clearly, you were trying to measure the "shenanigan level" of the game, and clearly, it is an 11, seeing as how the mod can be voted and presumably lynched. So you obviously must have a hint into the game mechanics the rest of us are not privy to. Care to share?
Then he contradicts himself and asks for vital role information from armlx. The disguise is in the form of a "game mechanic" when in reality he's just trying to get information out of armlx's role. That's basically why I'm going with Rigel at the moment.

I'm not sure where you are trying to go with this, chaotic_diablo. Yes, I did call out aioqwe for rolefishing. And yes, I did ask Armlx if he had any additional information about the game mechanics that he wanted to share with us. I wasn't asking for his role, nor was I intending to draw him out into revealing his role. I simply wanted to know if he had any knowledge of the game's mechanics that would help the town in any way. I don't see that as role-fishing, because I wasn't asking for him to give up his role--I was asking him to reveal any information that he might have received when he received his role. If doing so would reveal his role, I would have expected him to either lie, or evade the question. But my intent was not to expose him in any way, my intent was to gain information about the game's mechanics that could be utilized for the town's benefit.

However, since there was no information in the first place, one would presume that this would be a moot point. Obviously not.

At any rate...

If you are going to complain that there isn't any activity going on, at least have the initiative to say something about the game, rather than hiding your lurking behind content-less posts like this. What do you think about the game so far? Do you feel that the bandwagon on me has merit or not? What about Sarcastro's forgetfulness; do you feel it is a real excuse or a fake one? If you bother to contribute, maybe the activity you so desire will show up spontaneously.

If you didn't receive information concerning a game mechanic, then that implies that anyone else who did has a different role than you. By asking for a game mechanic that may only be exclusive to a certain player, you're basically confirming that a particular player has a high probability of being a power role. In such a case, they become food for the mafia. The fact that you were looking for confirmation such as a lie or an evasion is good enough evidence for rolefishing. As I said, it's rolefishing disguised as a "game mechanic".

I'm not so sure I agree with chaotic_diablo on this one. I'm didn't get the sense that Rigel was role fishing there. I do see was chaotic_diablo is picking up, but I'm not sure that it amounts to role fishing.

I was only stating a very obvious fact.

I think Rigel over re-acted to his two votes. And he did do a very subtle role-fishing expedition.

Mind addressing any of these questions Dean? Just because you think I overreacted doesn't mean that you should ignore my post entirely.

I'd like to know what amounts to rolefishing to you. If we look at armlx's post on Rigel, it's apparent that I'm not the only one who finds at least some form of rolefishing in it.

Good points going around to rigel. However, I also see the possibility of Rigel being vanilla and simply interested in trying to learn a little more about the setup. Don't really know what to think right now. However, I can't go wrong with a dean vote (for now at least). BTW being captain obvious doesn't make you town.
