He did an absolutely phenomenal job in Mini Normal 1919. Despite getting paranoid and overthinking things, he became confirmed town on day 2 and helped to lead town to victory.

Expanding: Very good flavor. Original concept and exceptional writing down to the detail including PMs. Not boring stock theme flavor. Made us care about the conflict. Endgame flavor sets up for a sequel. All in all really well done

I think Mulch's playstyle works based on people who don't know him and will be easier to determine over time, so I hesitate the idea of rising star as it feels like he is only a one trick pony.

Tho I will say.
There are a few gems in the 2017 era that I've seen.
Mulch is probably one of them.

I think Mulch is a player who the majority of people will never learn to read correctly. I have not seen their town game yet but if it holds up I think their scum game is rising star worthy.

I wouldn't necessarily say he "lead town to a victory" after being conf town on Day 2. Two of the three scum were dead coming into that day, but he definitely played a strong game there. I did use that game to nom him, though in conjunction with the large.

Nominated Kingdom Hearts for game of the year. Setup was balanced (many strong players rolled town, however), flavour was good, moderator was excellent, town did a good job of working together cohesively and finding each other. We had a townblock 7 strong. Lynched scum days 1, 2, and 4, vigged scum night 2. The fourth scum was in the townblock was ferretted out very quickly on day 4.

If there's a "best town group" nom, I'd say that it potentially deserves a nom. But the setup was unbalanced and the scum team not that good. Wasn't actually a very good game *shrugs*
(I'd also say the occasional bursts of toxicity takes away from "best game" as a deserving nom but YMMV)

Because currently it takes three completed games in a calendar year to qualify for nomination (that'll be reduced to two next year it sounds like consensus is), and very few mods qualify because very few mods run three games to completion in a calendar year.

But there are very few mods who run three games to completion in a calendar year who are eyecatching and noteworthy in their moderation. Many mods can mod competently enough where players don't really have any complaints: a votecount at least once a day and/or page, prods relatively quickly, replacements relatively quickly. These are things we universally expect of moderators in EVERY game so mods aren't generally considered noteworthy when they do these things. It's mods who go above and beyond the call to duty that get nominated for Best Moderator, yet those same mods who go above and beyond the call of duty are the type of mod to not run three games to completion in a calendar year. Thus the rarity of nominations.)
