It is suppose to signify a really long pause. Indication confusion as to jester's action. (or that is how I took it)It's not my job to be right, it's my job to be convincing.

I have played with a few people who i have known half my life and I thought I may have had a lsightly better read but not enough drastic enough to call them out hands down. For proof, my first big game on here i think it was like 55 or something like that. I was in it with TheJiveMachine. I've known him for 5 years and I was also in a game with a guy screennamed John, I have known him as well for about 5 years. I believe I read jive correct but I read john completely wrong. And there are games where I have read Jive completely wrong and completely right. What I don't trust is your confidence and the fact that you have not made a legitmate case. I can honestly buy that he has changed his playstyle. Another thing I don't like is you have more chemistry with him, making it easier toread when ther other wants distancing, something I don't think is impossible to do very well.
Thank you for calling be a good play korlash, and FTR I voted for the comical 4th option in your poll and had intention of posting that you have a alot of potential to be an excellant player. The problem with a lot of us year and a half and less guys is that we are still developing(some exceptions to this rule). Good is relative, and I know I have progressed during my time here and I have seen some of your progression. This is another reason I don't buy meta on occasion, it depends whether or not the person has actual tells. JDog is an example of some that meta has a lot of use for. You and Me(and Jester) I don't believe it would work to well due to developing skill level.
Honestly, the dots don't mean anythingFoS:LloydNow post something usefulSometimes a sandwich is just a sandwich.-

As for my case on jester I will put it together today. Realize I have been a bit preoccupied with... current matters lately... <.<It's not my job to be right, it's my job to be convincing.

Ok sorry about the delay, I needed sleep.
Did a read up on Jester. Other then my gut feeling and knowledge about him there isn't much to go on.
However...
He says he is voting me to pressure me.jester wrote:Vote: Korlash
From the looks of things he seems to direct attention at himself if he's Town, and he isn't doing that now. There were no dice, so his vote on me was hardly random. He has an agenda. For this, I feel a vote is in order to apply pressure, as Town he shouldn't worry, but if he is mafia, than he will crack.
I get to L-1, this is not pressure this is lynch. How does jester respond to this?
He completely ignores the fact no vote on me has any meaning behind it, he talks about a past game, and he leaves his vote on.jester wrote:I'm afraid it's not even close to the record I set.
I got myself lynched in a game Day 1 as soon as it started in exactly 2 hours and 57 minutes on the dot. There were 8 people, taking 5 to lynch. Not sure what the ratio would be but yeah, shortest day I've seen. Total Posts: 10. Not counting the first two posts by the Mod, or the last post ending the day. Crazy stuff.
Perhaps I'm biased here because it was me he was voting, but his vote was obviously not a town orriented pressure vote seeing as how he didn't see the need to stop me from getting lynched.
Not a lot but I still think it is worth my vote. It's not my job to be right, it's my job to be convincing.

Ok, I've only skimmed portions of this, but I'm amazed we didn't quick lynch Jester. He recomended no-lynch, acted pointlessly serious for no good reason at Korlash, and has basicly defended himself in a piss poor way. He really deserves a fourth vote, at least.Vote:Jester
BTW, I'm claiming Kira.Never forget...you are Mortal.-

I read up from another game and no-lynch statistically helped us if we had a certain number alive. I had reasons for it, and for one reason or another it apparently wasn't viable. I retracted it regardless.
FoS: ThanFor using reasons that well don't hold water. Kira? Really? Does anyone think we'd have a Jester? I think Than might be Jester, because if he means Kira from Deathnote....He's retarded.
Recap: I read up that a no-lynch in a situation "Happily Ever After" explains this, apparently is really old, and I retracted it. No longer holds water.
Add that others are voting Korlash with reasons besides my own.
Defended myself poorly? How-so? Anything better than that? Oh and really, claiming Kira? Who claims with no reason? Who claims Kira who is Evil? Seriously Than is Jester, or he's mafia. Very odd, I'll have to look into this.-

I think Jester's at three votes now, actually. UA decided to vote for Korlash instead.
UA: Dots not being code noted. Don't really understand your vote. Please explain further.
At this point, I'm somewhat confused by this game. I've reread, but I'm not much wiser; I can't tell what the near-lynch of Korlash was, but I'd be surprised if there weren't at least a few scum on that wagon trying to get a quick lynch. Since RotN isn't here to defend himself, I don't see much point in keeping my vote on him right now.
Unvote.
The Jester; you DID keep your vote on Korlash in what was almost a quick lynch. Quick lynches are not excellent.
FoS: The Jester.
As for Thanatos' claim, I'm confused. There are like six or seven more or less excellent Kiras on wikipedia ranging from several anime characters to a Star Trek character to someone in a Mortal Kombat game to a softcore porn star... Which one are you claiming? And why are you even claiming at this point? Also, quick lynches aren't excellent, nor is the retroactive questioning of a lack of one.FoS Thanatos.-

Cavebear took the words out of my mouth, Kira is such an ambigeuos claim because there are like at least 8(hoping for the softcore pornstar). Anyway, why name claim at this point? Before you clarify which Kira you are, by a show of hands, how many of us are fictional characters?Sometimes a sandwich is just a sandwich.-

Why? "Excellent" does not imply non-fictional. Nor does it imply "good guy." Nor does it imply "alive."
I myself excpect certain great names to be in here, a couple from well known animes, shows, and movies. Along with real life people. Look at the storyline intro, K Fed= Not Fictional, Ivan Ooze= Fictional
So red flag there Who, Five yard penalty, repeat day 1!It's not my job to be right, it's my job to be convincing.

Come on, it's not like i said i would automatically vote anyone who claims fictional. I retain the right to be suspicious for any reason i choose!Korlash wrote:Why? "Excellent" does not imply non-fictional. Nor does it imply "good guy." Nor does it imply "alive."

Sure you do. But a statement where you say anyone who got a pm from the mod of a fictional character is more suspicious then a non-fictional role makes me pretty suspicious in your lines of thinking.
As you said, I retain the right to be suspicious for any reason I choose. And i personally think my reason is at least as "good" as yours. =DIt's not my job to be right, it's my job to be convincing.

well, there is a little bit of reasoning in my position. I know I am town, and I also know I am non-fictional, but I agree we do not yet have enough info to conclude that all town are non-fictional.ShowAs Town: 3/8

must admit i hadn't spotted the Ivan Ooze thing. That does blow a huge whole in that line of thought. Whereas "Excellent" doesn't imply non-fictional, "People" does. The smurfs are not people. He-Man is not a person etc etc, but the inclusion of a power rangers villain in the intro makes it clear that non-fictional is on the cards.ShowAs Town: 3/8

One of the Kiras are a Power Ranger... Much like one of the villains. Hmm hmm. In any case, if a 6000 year old villain (Ivan Ooze, and yes I had to look it up... Btw, the wikipedia entry for Ivan Ooze doesn't say if he's a mutant used-to-be-human or alien or what, but judging from some pics I found off the internets he's purple and has tentacles on his chin ) can qualify as people, then I wouldn't be surprised to see some fictional characters on the excellent side.
Then again... I'm not sure how reliable this is, but the queue thread had information that seems to suggest it's real people only. Not sure if this applies though, given the intro post.
Then again again, speaking of the intro post:
Now, obviously Kevin Federline is a MOST un-excellent dude and can't be relied on, but the fact that none of the Kiras seem to be very legendary seems odd.Kevin Federline wrote: I'm talking real legends here
I really don't mind sharing that I'm in fact non-fictional.
Thanatos, care to share some light on the situation?-

Urzassedatives and RangeroftheNorth, both who wanted day 1s, no longer seem active in this game.
Since RangeroftheNorth has more votes, I'll go with him.

Vote: RangeroftheNorth
It seems scummy to call for short day 1s, and then just disappear instead of advocating and seeing a lynch go through.
As for Thantos' claim, my guess is that he did it to jump start discussion.-
