Uh. Page 7 now, scumchat's distracting, I'll finish it tomorrow.

Vote: Miztef

At last.

Assorted, out of context quotes from Phate:

Unvote Yes, I think so too.
I agree with SirT.
I guess that means I'll see you tonight, scumbuddy?
MoS, am I correct in interpreting your last post?
...or are you just agreeing with what's already been said?
I may very well be full of shit.
He's indecisive. Might be scum.
Maybe I'm a jester.
I find you too agreeable.
I don't trust diplomats.
Going to agree with MoS on all counts here.
my play looks the scummiest right now.
(After voting Miztef) That's true, Miztef. I hadn't thought of that.
I'm a dayvig, and the next person to vote me dies.
*nods affirmatively*
tactlessness is a virtue
Ok, you should all ignore me.
I'm too new to know what I'm doing.
Ditto Ceph.
MoS, after thinking about this, what's your opinion of Faerie?
Elmo, what do you think of Faerie's behaviour?
Why the new wagon, MoS?
Hmm. Good point.
Don't fall for the trick of letting an older player (even if it's me) pat you on the head and tell you, "Good job."
very probably we can agree on someone we think is scum.
I am okay with Elmo's method.

I selected these quotes to illustrates his overall message, which is that diplomacy and being agreeable is scummy, along with the very quotes that show himself to be diplomatic and agreeable.

I reckon that he is in fact often un-diplomatic. But in that un-diplomatic bluster, there is a strong undercurrent of the very behavior that he himself finds to be a strong scumtell.

That puts Phate at -1. I'm going to
unvote
and reiterate that
no-one should get put beyond -2 without claiming
, for serious. I remain happy with a Phate lynch, though.

CES: HI! Miztif is scummy, but he's claimed Trium, and we're screwed if we lynch him and he's telling the truth. So, um, yeah.

Hypocrisy isn't a scum tell, so his opinion isn't that relevant here. Do
you
think it's a scum tell? If yes, why didn't you mention that straight away? If not, why are you attacking him over it?

Elmo: Snap! Then I really can't justify voting for him without having read the entire game. So I'll
unvote
for now.

does this deadline end with no vote or lynch most voted player?

If no vote, I really suggest we come to a conclusion very shortly.

I'm aware this is kinda a lame response, but the one who's at the top of the votecount.

If one player x on 4 an player y 3, if player y was voted for, player x is still above on the votecount. If player x has 5 and player y has 4 and someone unvote player x, player x is still above on the votecount.

Time for some grade A awesomeness.

My gut gives you these 5 alignments:
Town:
Cephrir
TrustGossip
Rishi

Scum:
Miztef
Mastermind of Sin

I've read the entire game and frankly, if we don't lynch Miztef, we'll never lynch any claimed member of the triumvirate. I think it's worth it.

Vote: Miztef

Well, there is a chance he'll die overnight and/or get investigated overnight. Investigating and protecting him is probably our best play, but if we don't get the doc power the scum probably still won't kill him, and if they do, that's fine as well.

Elmo: Read Miztef's claim again, in context. Compare it with his earlier play. It feels egregiously fake to me. Honestly, I can't see how you all don't see it. Although he claims otherwise, none of his play so far has struck me as trium at all; instead, it has struck me as trying to
find
the trium.

Those voting me: Why?

I agree with CES (mostly) and I am deeply in favour of a Mizteflynch. I would gladly hammer.

For the second time,
Miztef has yet to give a good reason to have advocated a massclaim
. "I was skeert, guys!" is not adequate explanation.

The triumvirate would not want a massclaim. After a massclaim, the triumvirate would all die by either nightkilling or possibly lynching. Why would Miztef advocate this as a triumvirate member?

Because literally everyone except me thought it was the best play for the town at that point.

That's a pretty good reason to go along with a massclaim if you're town.

That doesn't add up with what he said earlier, though. He said his motivation was fear/stress. That was in the post or two after he claimed; go read it. That's not "What's best for town?"

Miztef wrote:The massclaim for example, was because I was quite fearful of being lynched early, and wanted to have the protection of saying my role.
He's been the day 1 lynch for some time, now. I think being lynched early is a perfectly fair concern if he's for real, considering how much it would hurt the town to lynch a triumvirate. I'm told that some good advice for playing a power role is "don't die".

Miztif has not vocally advocated a massclaim at any point. If I'm mistaken about this, quotes and/or post numbers.
Phate wrote:I don't believe him because every single aspect of his play so far has been indicative of scum hunting the triums rather than triums trying to blend in with the townies.

I will vote whichever one of them I need to vote to keep Miztef from being lynched. Lynching Miztef is a bad idea today, given the consequences of failure.

I think he's still interested in a Cephrir lynch. He's just trying to be productive - a no lynch is bad.

Now that Phate has claimed, are you planning to put a vote somewhere, Elmo?

I don't mean he's backed away from Cephrir. I mean, he favoured Cephrir with no mention of Phate one post, and then they were equal the next post, when he hasn't even spoken to Phate for ages. That is weird. If he's seen something to change his mind, he should be commenting on it, at least, I think. I'm not sure what to make of it, at the moment.

p.s. Sidenote, the deadline mechanics are whoever has the most votes gets the drop, we're not going to have a no lynch any which way about it. Unless I'm wrong.

Also, yea.

I still prefer a Cephrir lynch. I'm merely making it clear that I'm prepared to cast a vote for Phate OR Cephrir to prevent a Miztef lynch. Before, I was merely saying that I would vote Cephrir before deadline if the flea vote failed to produce a wagon. Those statements were unrelated in their purposes.
