well, by semi-random, I mean some kind of randomized lynch choice the town agrees upon, with weighted favor for people the town finds more guilty. I gave an example of how it could work in my last post.

Also, Miztef, I don't really like your idea. Maybe once deadline approaches, but as it is I think at the very least we can talk it out some more, and very probably we can agree on someone we think is scum.

I for one have no one I find particularly scummy, only people I would vote on if others felt they were scummy as well.

I think everyone is just really tired of this day. I realize my plan isn't flawless or even great, but it works, gets info out, and does get someone lynched who the town finds at least somewhat scummy.

I do agree finding the best candidate is the best idea, however, I think it's what will move the game along in the best possible manner.

I think we need to lynch at some point, obviously, but in my opinion the problem is not lack of content, but lack of activity from most people in sifting through it. As SSF points out, we've got 21 pages worth, I'm sure there's scope for making a better decision than flipping a coin; certainly, I don't feel I have all the answers right now, it's day 1 after all, but I really don't agree with the idea we have nothing to go on.

I also think we should discuss what to do about the cop power, whether whoever gets it should investigate whoever they want, or whether we should nominate someone to be investigated.

I should also be annoying and point out that a townie lynch is not always strictly better than no lynch, although obviously we'd like to avoid it.

I doubt that scum are going to actually follow through on that, especially if asked to investigate another scummer. They could give false information just to not out their buddy and make another townie look like scum, mm?

I'm aware this is kinda a lame response, but the one who's at the top of the votecount.

If one player x on 4 an player y 3, if player y was voted for, player x is still above on the votecount. If player x has 5 and player y has 4 and someone unvote player x, player x is still above on the votecount.

For this calculator, if I wanted Alice lynched the most, then either Bob or Carol, then lastly Dave, the format would be: Alice>Bob=Carol>Dave. Everyone you don't put down is assumed to be equally preferable after everyone that you did mention. I think.
