Hmm. Yay!

I felt incredibly nervous early on in this game. First time as scum in a while, and up against some good players for the for the first time (as scum). My bad apple vote was just nerves, I think, and I was lucky more people didn't find it scummy. The wank then JDodge distractions were very welcome. On night 1, Shanba was away so me and Andy were choosing the kill. We wanted to kill Glork but chickened out of it because we thought he was too likely a candidate for doc protection. I think Elmo wasn't a bad choice though.

Day 2 I thought Glork might have a guilty on me when he voted me out of the gates, so I lurked until I could figure out whether it was true or not. I thought one of myself or Shanba almost had to go down, but again a welcome distraction appeared. I just lurked around deadline to avoid having to save Ripley from the lynch. We killed wank basically because we thought he was a decent bet for a powerole and wouldn't be doc protected.

On day 3 I honestly, genuinely thought we'd be screwed despite lylo. Cop + hidden doc is very very powerful, and Glork and Crub seemed to have much of the scumgroup figured out. Crub was the most obvious vulnerable townie, but it didn't seem like we could get him lynched until his weird third vote on Andy. I expected to have to bus Andy and then IH would investigate Crub innocent, and things would have been tricky for us. But yeah, another oppotunity came along right when we needed it. Me and Shanba sweated a bit (well alot actually) over the night 3 kill, but it could only really have failed if Glork was the doc, who we'd marked down as unlikely.

Overall, we didn't play that well but somehow kept stumbling through. Thanks to everyone for the game, thanks to my scumbuddies for really making me feel like part of a team, and thanks to Ether for modding and listening to my rantings all game, some of which I've posted here.

Look into your soul, Patrick. You wanted to be scum with Shanba and Mert, until you actually got it. Sort of. Andycyca was last on Thesp's list instead of Mert. The RNG is funny like that.

Hopefully my flavor and modding policies were decent. It felt weird, using an "Ether" persona that probably got way too much stagetime. ¬_¬

Well, actually as someone pointed (don't remember exactly who) the deadline rule was like a tactic for us. I don't remember actually planning to lurk around deadline, but it could definitely be a nice scum tool. As for the strategy... Patrick's post has it all. Our backup strategy was actually to lynch me in order to gain some confidence, but Crub's strange vote really helped.

As for N1 kill... dammit Patrick! WIFOM prevailed there.

I'm still kinda newbie (this is only my fourth completed game) so, seeing several experienced protown players did scare me a little (specially in that post where Glork points as us three)
It's not mandatory, but I'd appreciate some feedback on my play
specially bad points that I could improve on.

Thanks all for playing and Ether for modding!

Just a few final words. Sikario looks less scummy after metagame research that dictates he always acts like a complete idiot.

To be honest I just didn't think before I voted Andy, I was sure that glork's vote had been on him for a lot longer than it actually had, plus I was pretty sure that he was scum with Patrick.

I didn't see the big deal about it.

I did and do trust you, Glork. And if TSQ hadn't voted Shanba (without actually having read the game) I was about to do so based on the Crub inconsistency. Since I thought TSQ was scum due to his not reading the game, that made Shanba less suspicious (and Patrick more so, but too late).

Voting Crub would have been the same as not voting Crub, which is what I did, because I was not convinced he was scum.

It's just a nick name that stuck after mutating from other nick names.

The most recent mutation was Curb -> Crub. I find it amusing now that in some games people are calling me Curb as an insult on my name :)

TBH, we got horrendously lucky this game. The only one of us who looked at all clean was andy - some of my logic had been shaky (although the patrick thing I did believe in, fwiw) and I had lurked like crazy and had made some very obviously opportunistic votes/posts. It's quite funny though, because we never really had a large hand in putting the candidates up for lynch - each time, another candidate would suddenly appear and we'd just push him over the edge :P

Me clean? I think I hit L-1 once or twice (once on D3) and my argument about you trying to frame Patrick was indeed a bad move on my part.

Eh, perhaps. Still, though, you were clean until d2 - both me and patrick messed up day 1 :D

There's nothing quite like being nailed by the whole town and basically let off the hook. It's surreal as an experience.

You have no idea how irate I am with myself for not having lynched you guys D2/D3. I have never literally figured out a game then just gift-wrapped it for the scums. PJ brought this up last night, but now I know how he felt after Space Monkey. :(

All in all, I don't think this was a particularly well played game. Both sides made mistakes, scum played worse but were able to capitalise on the town's mistakes better.

Ehm... I take it as a compliment?

About the common denominator... it was kinda hard, don't you think? I mean, I remember seeing one votecount with like 6 or 7 different players, with one vote each.

Also, I must say it wasn't a gift-wrapped game (not for me, at least). We were VERY lucky Crub cast suspicion on himself on D3...

Sure, Andy. You're one of like two players in this game who didn't stink up the whole joint.

And the "common denominator" comment meant that, since my groups were "Pat/Shan/Andy" or "Pat/Shan/Crub," I should've lynched one of the two I was sure was scum... not one of the fringe players.
