Ifyou get NK'd. One thing that can happen is that you announce that you're recruiting Person A, who is not scum. However, the scum NK you to throw suspicion on Person A. There's no real way to tell, unless the person whose recruitment you announced gets investigated. I agree with you with the fact that there's a lot of WIFOM, but that can be overcome with solid play. I hold to my stance that you don't recruit anyone unless we agree on it first."... give us this day, our daily bandwagon, and forgive us our trespasses, as we bandwagon those who trespass against us..."

Then that's just a waste of 2 powerroles-I recruit player A and then whoever gets to inspect them finds their innocent. How does the person who inspected person A relay that to the other town players? If he's scum, then the same thing. How does it get relayed without losing both the cult of the couch and the "investigator"....-

Well yes, I agree with something I mentioned. Ty should only use his power if we all agree on it. The main reason the scum wouldn't nightkill you for recruiting them is because as long as you're holding their vote, they'll never be on a townie's lynch. The other reason is that instead of having to talk 5 or 6 people into voting their way, they just have to convince you. There. Now I've given the scum reasons to *really* think before they kill you.-

As far as recruiting scum to control their vote, if we know somebody to be scum, we should be lynching them, not controlling their vote. One simple use I see for a temp move is to steal the player's vote to force them to vote themself for that day's lynch, which merely just adds one additional vote on that player. Unless if there's a lot of inactivity, that's one vote we probably don't need.AIM account: DolusDeceit [s]not al_kohaulec[/s]-

I think I mentioned that in my first post about tyhess as one case where it's acceptable. Let's say hasd and alko are confirmed scum. tyhess can recruit one of us to control our vote, and we'll lynch the other. The other scum will then be lynched the next day. IMO this ability doesn't come out to much use in this way though, but this is an acceptable time in my eyes for using the ability.hasdgfas wrote:two known?
and I'm kind of with tyhess in not understanding quickben's logic.-

Because they wouldn't be in control of their vote... you'd have it. Gives them deniability, something scum are always looking for. Its the reason we look at voting records to find scum, the reason people who barn others without contributing anything new are bad, etc.tyhess wrote:QuickBen wrote:Well yes, I agree with something I mentioned. Right. Now that there has been some discussion on this (which I will analyze later, no time now):
I am with pj on this. tyhess shouldn't recruit. Even in the "tyhess is confirmed innocent that we are somehow able to keep alive" scenario, taking away votes from unconfirmed players doesn't do us any good - if it is in the town's interest to stop people voting, there are other ways to do that (pseudovotes and the like - we decide on a lynch before we start voting, so there is no danger of a hastyvotefromatownieleadingtoaquicklynch).
Really, the only reason tyhess should recruit is flavor. And since the one true Couch is here to provide that, the False Prophet needs not spread his message of lies and deceit.-

A number, but usually games w/o weird functions in the game like you're role, so this is a scenario I provided as atyhess wrote:how many games have you been in where you know for sure someone's scum, let alone 2 people??possiblyacceptable use for it, but most likely won't be occurring in the game.-
