The Battle of the Alamo (February 23 – March 6, 1836) was a pivotal event in the Texas Revolution. Following a 13-day siege, Mexican troops under President General Antonio López de Santa Anna launched an assault on the Alamo Mission near San Antonio de Béxar (modern-day San Antonio, Texas, United States), killing all of the Texian defenders. In the early morning hours of March 6, the Mexican Army advanced on the Alamo. After repelling two attacks, the Texians were unable to fend off a third attack. As Mexican soldiers scaled the walls, most of the Texian soldiers withdrew into interior buildings. Defenders unable to reach these points were slain by the Mexican cavalry as they attempted to escape. Between five and seven Texians may have surrendered; if so, they were quickly executed. Most eyewitness accounts reported between 182 and 257 Texians died, while most historians of the Alamo agree that around 600 Mexicans were killed or wounded. Santa Anna's cruelty during the battle inspired many Texians—both Texas settlers and adventurers from the United States—to join the Texian Army. Buoyed by a desire for revenge, the Texians defeated the Mexican Army at the Battle of San Jacinto, on April 21, 1836, ending the revolution. Among the dead defenders were such legendary pioneers as William Travis, Jim Bowie, and Davy Crockett, who legend would have us believed was found surrounded by fallen Mexican soldiers.

"Oh, fuck this."

That seems to be the consensus of the group as it is roused from its post-feast torpor. It seems that a moment of safety and respite had the opposite of the intended effect; instead of heightening their impending doom with false hope, Pine's momentary reprieve galvanizes the survivors with genuine hope. Anger sweeps through the group, as they unify behind rejecting the game and resolving to escape together. Their rage and angst is focused on ThinkBig, as he seems to be more focused on his personal safety than on helping the group escape.

"Alright, fine!" shouts RadiantCowbells, "You want the medicine? You want to save yourself over us? That can be arranged!" As mattblackguy holds the struggling ThinkBig against the wall, RadiantCowbells grabs the silvery antidote. Fro99er pries open ThinkBig's mouth, and RadiantCowbells rams the pill down his throat, gashing his knuckles on ThinkBig's broken teeth. nancy holds the victim's shattered mouth closed and pinches his nostrils together until ThinkBig swallows the pill, along with several ounces of blood and the remains of his smile.

While ThinkBig groans in pain and gags on his own blood, the rest of you proceed to trash the lovely Halftime room. Couches are upended, portraits of Little Bighorn, the Trail of Tears, and the St. Bartholemew's Day Massacre are thrown down and shredded, and the remains of the food are dashed to the floor. Even the nice new wallpaper is torn down from the walls of the old basement storeroom. Finally, the group turns its sights on the purported escape hatch. The fine oak table is upended, revealing a tunnel entrance. At RadiantCowbell's direction, Cooperative Sheep and Grendel hoist up ThinkBig, now spasming and seizing, and use his skull as a battering ram to smash down the hatch.

ThinkBig has died, with the antidote shoved down his throat and his skull bashed in as a battering ram. He was a
Mafia Goon.

"Now wait one cotton-picking minute, here, I don't mind you getting a bit extemporaneous on me. I really was going to let one of you go! There's no need to ruin the game just because you value your lives over my entertainment. I really must - "

A loud knocking sound is heard over the live feed from Pine's bunker, followed by
"Open up, this is the FBI!"
A loud crash is heard, and several gunshots. Long minutes of scuffling are heard, until the agent's voice comes over the loudspeaker.
"This is Special Agent Firebringer with the FBI. Remain calm, folks! We don't know how this place is booby-trapped, but the tunnel ahead of you seems clear. We have people moving to meet you at the end. Head down the tunnel and we'll get you to safety."

One by one, you get down on all fours and crawl to safety. You each emerge into the light covered with grime and blood, both your own and that of the dead. Agents Mastina and mykonian of the FBI usher you to waiting ambulaces, who whisk you off to the emergency room. Agonizing hours fly by as you are treated for your superficial ailments, and your veins are burning while drenched in cold sweat when the doctor brings in a pale silver bag of medication. As she attaches it to your IV, she informs you that it is recovered antidote from Pine's lair, and the delay was in analyzing it for your safety. As the cool fluid enters your system, you drift off into a deep and dreamless sleep, as the fire in your blood is quenched.

The recovery from your ordeal takes weeks, and even months later it is hard to talk about. The fact that Pine escaped capture doesn't help, nor does the fact that every year on the anniversary of your escape, a post card appears in the mail with a simple, handwritten note:

Setup, notes, comments, and PTs will be released soon. Still in my Red Cross Instructor training, so all that mechanical shenanigans will have to wait. I'd also like to have some post-game theory discussions, but that can wait too.

Well played town - you reasoned out the last lynch very well. In the dead thread we feared that no kill would cause a few melt downs but you stayed firm in the end.

Hope to play with you guys again - thanks to Pine too, great effort with the flavor.

I mean in the end I just assumed that I had been shot at so it didn't really factor into anything except increased suspicion of ThinkBig's not believing my tracker claim.

For the most part I felt like a non-entity, spectating from the sidelines.

Ahh, At least I can say I didn't directly hinder town's won-con?

Nailing scum would have been more satisfying though.

It was kind of obvious though :P

Like I actually thought we were doublespeaking to each other half the time. There was obviously a difference thought in TB's disbelief and mine given that I was trying to keep up the guise. I thought that Sheep had slipped knowledge of you not being the real tracker in his last post, which is why I thought he was confscum, but I guess he was just keyed on to the same thing I was and not hiding it.

Dead thread has been made public, and is here: Hell is Other People.

Still waiting on final confirmation to release scum PT.

I'm home now, and will be conducting the remaining paperwork to close out the game and provoke some discussion.

Lynch outside of the town reads until we win?

We have so many town looking people I really don't see us losing lol.
Wish I hadn't gotten all paranoid of Ruath near EoD on day 3. My town reads were 5/5 right before that misstep.

Also the entire scum stayed in my null/ null-scum reads for most the game. JarJar being nullscum, and Gin/Think big being null.

Actually I town read Anakin day 2 didn't I?

Shoot.
