Tis true, but upon a further scrutiny perhaps he can be positive that I am the most suspect among the rest.

Greetings. Reading now. Will post soon enough.
I want to concentrate on playing one game at a time so I'm not available for replacements. If this changes I will change this sig accordingly.

Hello, I'm Arakorn and I'll be replacing McStab. As there's already 11 pages here I really don't feel like thoroughly reading through them all, so could someone just quickly sum up what actions have been taken so far? (Like, which day and who were lynched and who night killed etc?)

Or, we haven't started yet? There's nothing in the first post at least...

Its still day one.

I'd much rather you re-read than possibly be manipulated by everyone's interests. You won't be tested, but your own views would be much more appreciated (by me at least).

Just skim up, make quick notes on how it looks and seems as you go and jump in. You could be functionally caught up in an hour or so.

Okay, I probably need to read all this again, but here are a few thoughts after the first read.

I feel that the wagon on neko is quite justified ... I understand why it built up, but I'm not sure he's the best lynch. A few things do worry me about him, such as his accommodating, nonaggressive stance - his post 16 where he votes Sikario8 and says he'd be hesitant to vote him if he had some votes on him already ... what's up with that? But overall ... nah, he's not uberscummy. He's about 50/50 on my scumdar.

Sikario8 ... voting neko when he was already voting him, then backing down quickly ... sucking up to gorckat ... overall his behaviour worries me.

I don't really understand why Guardian is so sure SirWario is scum. I feel that SW has indeed come up with a few helpful tidbits, and has been quite aggressive at times. Also, I was in a game with SirWario recently where I felt he was terse, and was somewhat suspicious of him because of that, but he turned out to be town. I think he's acting pretty much the same way here. It doesn't prove anything of course, but at least it's a hint.

This is all I have for now. More later, when I have the time.

Arakorn, if you weren't new, I would be very displeased by your entrance. Townies generally like to have as much information as possible. Only the scum can afford to be making decisions without carefully considering everything. You'll want to take the time to read over everything and start coming up with your own arguments rather than pick up on others' as Gorckat said.

I love how people think I'm scummy because I'm being too nice. "Be careful of that one, he's trying to be rational and not emotional! What a scumtell!" My bad I guess... maybe I should be a jackass and vote recklessly. Would that be better? I'd like to see anyone make an argument for this.

After my first read, three players are sticking out like sore thumbs: Archaist, neko, and gorckat.

Archaist - There are three big marks against Archaist, IMO. First, he attacks Soupfly because of Soupfly's reaction test on neko; moreover, the way in which he does so is the reaction I would expect from a scum who sees his buddy get reaction-tested (especially since he all-but-ignores gorckat's attack on neko). Second, his attack on soupfly appears to be an indirect defense of neko (this is bad for town, since in most situations it is best to let a player speak for themself, and it gives me the impression that there is a connection between Archaist and neko). Third, he points out a number of neko's scummy actions in his second to last post, yet fails to make any conclusions about neko's alignment. This reeks of both scum advising a buddy and the Information Instead of Analysis (IIoA) tell, and has placed Archaist firmly on my scumdar.

neko - The thing that stands out to me most about neko is that he has FoS'ed gorckat THREE times, all apparently seriously, yet his only actual vote for gorckat was a random vote that was quickly withdrawn (and placed on Archaist as a "conversation starter", no less). Moreover, neko then proceeded to vote Sikario for reasons that appear to be weaker than his points against gorckat. This absolutely REEKS of scum distancing (specifically, the Friend of Scum tell, where a scum FoS'es their buddy but never votes him); this is reinforced by how neko seems to respond to gorckat and to a lesser extent Archaist more than most (all?) other players, without actually voting for one of them. In addition to this, Neko has also been focusing on theory rather than scumhunting, especially in recent post (the IIoA tell again), and my gut feeling is that neko is trying too hard to appear comfortable with the votes on him (can't point out why, though).

Gorckat - Gorckat starts by random voting gorckat and Archaist, in that order (reeks of scum distancing). His play since then has included relatively little content (short posts that give the appearance of participating without actually doing so, let alone scumhunting) and most of his comments have been on material from Archaist and neko (once again suggesting that there is a connection between the three - scumbuddies, perhaps?).

In short, these three players seem to be betraying some sort of connection between themselves, and some of their posts (especially neko's) give me the strong impression that they are all distancing scum. Moreover, none of them have offered much if any analysis of their own, and none of them has really contributed to scumhunting.

While I admit that I haven't fully analyzed the other players yet (SirWario in particular), I'm pretty sure that I want to lynch one of Archaist, neko, and gorckat today. I'm seeing way too many ties for me to ignore.

Vote: neko

How thorough.

Am I already bussing neko?

My vote on archaist was not random- it was to push him to 3 votes, fishing for reactions. In your experience, do you often find scum voting each other early? Which games?

The most likely reason you see link between the three of us is we were among the active half of the players for awhile. I've had dialog with other players when there's been questions for me or questions I had for them.

So do you agree or disagree that Soupfly's "reaction test" was suspicious? What about my response to it do you find suspicious? Just saying that it is what you "would expect from a scum" isn't descriptive or helpful at all.

In that post I pointed out
one
scummy action, that being the contradiction in his post. One contradiction is far from enough to conclude on someone's alignment.
