For me it's how obvious you/cloud look as partners. Makes more sense than you/fitz.

Too much deflection onto fitz. If he's scum, make a case for him. Your read changed cause his changed again. You as no issue the first time (despite it being the very thing you said you find scummy) but now he does it again and it's all a sudden an issue.
