Guys. I'm not really a backup mod to this, but Aimee has begged me to help whilst she's on limited access. She's asked me to announce that thedragonphoenix replaces Korran in this game. Unfortunately, I don't have mod powers.Primpod 11:13 pm

well I did a quick readthrough anyway and then checked and there isnt a 'thedragonphoenix' on mafiascum so im guessing it was a mistake. so here are my thoughts. I'm torn right now between two people that seem extremely scummy. I find it extremely odd that oman votes himself, asks for votes, and asks for people to quote their role pm. None of that is normal. I have seen the explanation but I still dont buy it. However, this could simply be an attempt to be silly. Secondly I don't like how destructor has made mistakes in voting and fake voted. Doesn't seem like a pro-town act at all. Both seem scummy to me but Ivote destructor. seems the scummier of the two at the moment-

Half humorous vote.@ kravhen - I don't think you ever explained why you voted soupfly in Post 42.
Basically because the post before his, you(destructor) suspected north because of his half-serious vote and all...
Then soupfly said you were "clearly scum"
My vote on him was a way of saying "BLASPHESMY! HE's ONTO SOMETHING THERE, HE CANT BE SCUM OMG, UR WRONG!"
So... a half-assed defense of you.-

I think people are reading Oman's actions in a wrong way. Reading his last few posts makes me pretty confident that he is a well thought player that wanted to create some chaos at the beginning of the game.
A self vote and asking for a PM isn't something a player would do seriously, so it's an obvious joke. Either some of you are reading too much into it, or you're trying to get him lynched in any way possible.
Anyhow, you're not helping.-

I believe I've explained this a few times already. (Aside from you typing "barely random" which doesnt make sense, it was "barely non-random")destructor wrote:@ Northjayhawk - In Post 48 you flesh out, in some detail, your issues with Oman. You say that you had a 'barely-random' vote on him, which doesn't ring true in light of this post. This becomes stranger when you take into account the fact that you returned a random vote to Crub. How randomwasyour vote on Oman, really?
I was convinced from popular demand that trying to start a serious bandwagon before everyone even has a chance to check in is detrimental. By the time everyone did check in, we had more serious issues to talk about than Oman's antics. As for Oman now, the issues I had early remain but they are very minor compared to kravhen's eagerness to look innocent and forgetting his votes, and even that isnt much at this point.-

soupfly wrote:unvote: destructor --> not saying he's not scum but the original vote was pressure more than suspicion. may decide to revote him but only when i have some firm reasons because we're way past the random stage.
so far nobody has really jumped out at me. i understand why oman, ryan and destructor are drawing heat but i can't say there's anything obvious at the moment.
i'm going to do a reread when i get a chance and hopefully i'll see something that i've missed so far.
Got an update? I dont remember seeing an original arguement for why <insert name here> is scum yet. At 8-9 pages there should hopefully be something suspicious that no one else has noticed or brought up yet.soupfly wrote:
the initial vote and this were not based on anything thing i'd seen in your play:destructor wrote:@ soupfly - Are you telling us that your 'original' vote, back in Post 41 was a pressure vote? Why pressuremethen?
i wanted to give the impression that there was some substance to my vote when in fact there wasn't. was curious to see how others react. curious to see how you would react.soupfly wrote:In any case I still think destructor is scum...anybody else see it too?
confirm vote: destructor
honestly i haven't read the thread closely enough to really form any firm suspicions, but i will. once i get into the flow of the game i will be quite active but for now i need to find the time to do a proper read through.
as far as why you? i'd answer that with the question "why not you"?
sorry for my being not so active but i will make it up.-

Destructor: Why do i think the ryan wagon was scummy due to Oman's involvement? because people jumped on the wagon completely on a whim, at the time Oman was jst trying to get information, he did not have any solid case on ryan. At the time he had also voted for himself as well as asked for a role pm, albeit a joke. Now, what person jumps on that wagon that quickly. It seems to defy logic. That is why the ryan wagon seemd scummy to me.-

it was more in the nature of an FOS, I should have probably written it that way.destructor wrote: @ WhoMe?

would a veggie claim be helpful?
hear me out on this. i got assigned a veggie in my role and i'm guessing the scum got assigned non-veggie roles. if we claim our veggies then for the townies it will be pretty simple. however, the scum need to invent a veggie and if it doesn't fit the normal veggie pattern or if they claim a veggie that another townie has then it outs them.
if we do this then the best way to do it is in the order that we are listed in the mod's first post:
Still on the Plate (12)
Korran
soupfly
Oman
Phate
Crub
ryan
WhoMe?
kravhen
Y
Northjayhawk
thinktank
destructor
its pretty arbitrary and i'm at the top of the list so you can't say that i'm proposing this in order to be able to post later so i know what veggie not to claim. we may get lucky on the early people posting because if they scum they won't know what veggies to claim
a few things to consider before deciding on this:
1) are there any holes in my logic on this
2) if it makes sense then is D1 the best day to do it.
3) am i misinterpreting the veggie assignments somehow
4) is there a better way to decide the order for claiming? maybe we do a random role and start at the number on the above list and work up/down. i'm fine with the current order but others might not.i am sofa king!
stupid...-

That totally doesn't help scum at all.
I just surreptiously claimed vanilla townie, and every other vanilla townie will know that I'm a confirmed vanilla townie.
It's a closed setup. That's a fact. That means we don't know what roles there are in the game. Which makes it easy for scum to lie.I will fuck up your name and gender. Deal with it.
PM me to replace into Infection Mafia, a semi-open Mini Theme.-

Sorry everyone, but after a very nasty uproar on another game, I've found that I do not care for the flavor of mafia games played on this board. You guys have been mostly fine so far, but the stupid rudeness I've had to put up with in another game has taken the fun out of it.
I resign.Mod, replace me.-

I believe you.
I'm a vanilla townie also and I am lettuce.
So NOW, any vanilla townie who's not lettuce or cucumber (and evidently, rolenames are unique) will know that we're both confirmed vanilla townies. *grins*I will fuck up your name and gender. Deal with it.
