I stand by the argument I made while playing (scum, but my argument was genuine) in that game -- 2/1 kill/protect is a bum deal, and the way to "break" quack is for the town to avoid protecting entirely. The number of kills that are likely to happen due to the quacks far exceed the number the mafia can expect to make -- and without quack/doc being revealed on death, the mafia's lies don't have a good chance of being revealed unless they're dumb; there can always be hidden quacks among the dead doctors or vice versa.

By contrast, quack with revealed flavors on death probably -is- breakable, and probably -should- involve doctors protecting at some point before the endgame.

Open 53 is getting a new mod, and should have one by the end of the day. (gameshark1313 sent me the setup, and hasn't responded to subsequent PMs.)

Discussion of the setup is probably best reserved for the Open Game Setup Discussion thread before the game enters signups, or during the game by the players.

Also, I would like to be on the waiting list to Mod. I have played one game that has finished and another in wich I was killed, but isn't finished. Can I still be a mod, or do I have to wait for that game to finish?
