Beaten all the trials and the last enemy team boss fight. Time for endgame!

Am I being too thorough? I generally go through each area, try to catch every new pokemon available in that area and beat every trainer. But that means I'm just finishing Lush Jungle and about to fight Olivia when everybody else is finishing the game. I'm also going into fights that the Pokémon reddit claims are "really difficult" 10 levels above the Totems. Maybe I should worry more about pushing through the story and then coming back to complete, or maybe I should just stop caring where I am relative to other players.

Finding shiny Pokémon in the wild is a fun experience regardless of stats or abilities (especially since you basically *have* to breed for competitive play anyway). The only shiny I ever found outside of Friend Safari was a shiny Steelix in Diamond. I took it to the HoF because why not.

I'm at the first trial. I've only had the game for two days and spent all of Thanksgiving w/the family. Still, I'm taking my time on this and enjoying exploring. I rushed through X last month to have it finished before this came out, and I didn't enjoy that experience nearly as much.

I prefer it's iron barbs ability because chip damage is always good.

I do like the fact when your champ different trainers challenge you after you beat the elite 4 again to try and take your title.

Also doing no-Exp. Share and Set rules run after the doddles of Y and OR. This is a lot harder than anticipated, but I'm just about pulling through without grinding a significant amount.
