Actually, irrespective of whether I'm the roleblocker, she's confirmed. Why? Simple. If I'm lying scum, then she can't be ;)

There's no way Shanba is making up his claim anyway. As town or scum.

All right. I think this is dragging on needlessly. Shanba should roleblock Patrick tonight, just in case JDodge is a townie.

I'm dropping the hammer.

Thank you for not lynching xyzzy.
Otherwise I would have missed this game, and it was REALLY fun.

Ok.

Well I think my play as roleblocker was pretty obvious. I was originally simply trying to leave hints about blocking thin_man but eh, when everyone started picking at it it became fairly obvious. More experienced scum would probably have killed me (in fact, it occurs to me that it's just as likely TM blocked the kill as I did). However, the contradiction I saw between mneme's post and Setael's post screamed scumbuddy, so I just ran with it. Lucky I did, really. At any rate, Setael was the most satisfying lynch this game.

Victory! Yay. This was a long, long game.

This game started off insanely dull for the first day and a half. Then, it was a great game. Very nice group of scumhunters.

I feel slightly less like an idiot now it turns out jdodge was scum as well.

My choices were Rishi/Jack/no-one (Thesp ended the night before I sent one for obvious reasons).

Yay! That makes it nice and easy!

I agree with Rishi that the game was very dull to start with. I remember feeling so apathetic at the time. The mnene scum lynch was absolutely vital at that point, I don't think we'd have got back into it otherwise. I'm happy that I woke up on day 3 and actually contributed something useful in pursuing Setael. At the end I was still pretty close between thinking it was JDodge or Rishi. Luckily the other two unknowns looked very protown to me.

I really like the concept of Picking your Poison (and I'm shortly running a mini theme based on it), but I don't think this specific setup should be tried again, because the powerole choices for scum seem pretty routine. I'd have been shocked to see a cop in this game.

Thanks to Thesp for modding, and well played everyone else.

As an aside for Bookitty: I mentioned to Ether a few weeks ago how often you seem to say, "I could be wrong" or something similar. You say it so often that you've been nominated to have it as a title here.

I have no idea what it is. I really, really TRY to act town, but somehow I always come across as either scummy or unreadable.

In this case it was mainly process of elimination; like I said, the other two seemed very protown.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. Finding scum is more important than looking protown. In fact, if you are actively trying to look protown to others, it might make you look worse, since that's what scum are trying to do.

Unacceptable.
This is the best I've ever played as pro-town. Yay :D. 3 scum in 3 days after I replace in, and I helped all of the lynches.

Thanks for the title nomination. :)

By way of explanation, I replaced into a lot of games, and seemed to be constantly trying to do damage control. As a result, I was doing a lot of analysis, in hopes of provoking argument and catching up with the games, and thus the overuse of "As always, I could be wrong." I hadn't thought of it as a catchphrase, but I suspect it fits.

No hard feelings, Guardian. :) I'm just pleased we won.

Yeah. That's why I don't replace into games too much. I do it once in a while, but I've found in pretty much every game I replace into, I inherit a bad position. Part of it is that the "lurking" that causes a person immediately rates as suspicious for some weird reason.

Oh, I kind of like replacing into bad situations, personally. It's challenging, and if I fail, I have a ready-made excuse.

It's perfect, really.

Meh, I knew that flaw when I first made the setup but couldn't think of any way to fix it; I'd considered replacing the RB with a vig, would that help it any?

I'd be more inclined to replace the cop with a vig. What would people choose out of (doc, roleblocker, vig)?

Doc/Rb

I'd say vig's more dangerous in endgame, the only time a RB is really useful.

It's funny how the mneme lynch gave the game more vitality. Jack's pushing of it basically wo the game for us. If he hadn't pushed, we might have just ended up vaguely wandering while the scum paralysed the game into a win.

General game questions:

Who did the Doc protect throughout the game?
Who did the Mafia attempt to kill N2?

From my perspective, we (that is, the mafia) had self-destructed by the time I was lynched, and it was only a matter of time.

JDodge fakeclaiming is an impressively bad way to lose, though; there's never a reason to let that pass, and that kind of gambit is -exactly- what LAL was coined for.
Did I say too much?
