I just picked up Reigns, and to steal one of the review comments its kind of King of Dragon's Pass combined with Tinder - each 'year' is a choice you make by either swiping the character portrait asking you to make it right or left. It's pretty good so far and only $3! And this just happened and I have no idea wtf caused it.
^theres a steam and a mobile version for anyone else interested
Pretty close to done with it now, it starts to get tedious once you know what all the choices do and aren't unlocking more by meeting new characters, but that didn't happen until more than 1000 choices in for me so I'd definitely say it's worth the $3.
Only other thing I'd warn about is that lateish game, when one of your objectives is to unmask the senator, you have to do something that you probably know is stupid from doing it previously to do it, which is a little irritating.
It looks like my mother is going to get me a DS & Pokemon [Sun or Moon] as a combined birthday/Christmas present. This will be the first physical Pokemon game I play since Pokemon Red.
We should coordinate getting Sun or Moon so as to maximize trading opportunities, I think. That would be really neat and really onerous, so I think we should do it.
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.
I've never played pokemon, but I've always wondered, why are there more than 1 game every time a new game comes out? Are they the same game but just with different pokemon to trade? Are they completely different games? Do you just pick 1 or do you need to get both? Is it just a money thing where they split 1 game into 2 just to double the sales?

Well I'm fairly certain that quadz is going to hand one and I'm going to have the other. I think we have tentatively chosen quadz-Moon and Glork-Sun but that's not set in stone.
btw I just started playing the Phoenix Wright series for the first time in my life, just recently started the very first game and am gonna try to get through all of them. I don't wanna post in the official thread until I finish some of it because I'm afraid of accidentally getting spoiled so thought I'd bring it up here. Only finished the first 2 missions so far. It's pretty neat.
I am finally getting around to played Dishonored. I'm usually disappointed by stealth games, but this one is pretty good so far. I feel like I'm way too stingy with runes/powers, though I'm trying to do minimal lethal.
