No basically anybody. The only people I'd want to lynch today are you and Originality. You were the two on top of my scumlist (with Peers, back then), and the two of you still are. I never said I'd want to lynch anybody, so stop putting words in my mouth.

Mirth wrote:Not a lack of information. CES is saying he is convinced Peers is town because he "can't imagine scum playing that way." The problem here isn't that CES is defending Peers, it's how he chooses to defend Peers. He's making a blanket statement that he doesnt think Peers is scum even though Peers isn't playing well. He's not trying to justify this statement, he just keeps repeating it. Look back at his posts and notice that he doesn't try to back-up his support of Peers with quotes from Peers' posts that might suggest townishness. (The only post he quoted in his defense of Peers was the reserve the right to claim putty post). Yet before this he was very suspicious of Peers, and then turned around almost without warning and started defending him. I'm curious as to why. I'm don't know if CES is scum, but his defense does not make sense to me, and thus I'm going to be suspicious of him until I'm given reason not to be.
I already said I didn't have much time right now to post a lot, so I won't be able to make a case or defend someone properly. Aside from that, I already told it was mostly gut. Peers' play fits perfectly with that of a vanilla townie, and I see no reason why relatively inexperienced scums would draw this much attention to themselves on day one (I'm referring to the flame between Peers and FlameAxe/UA. I also said I was wary because people jumped on his wagon so fast. I just haven't got the time to do a PBPA, but I think I've given enough reason not to vote Peers right now.

I get the impression you don't have any idea what WIFOM is. Also, isn't the way someone plays (like scum or town) the
only
reason to lynch someone. On day one, at least. I've given several arguments why I think Peers isn't playing like scum.

originality wrote:If Peers came out town, then a mafia CES would be a good possibility, as it seems as if he is trying to build credibility for himself on the town's eyes by supporting someone he knows for a fact to be town, which would explain his strong conviction. Something to remark is how CES defends Peers so much in these final moments when its 90% sure Peers is going to be lynched.
Note that I stopped Peers from being lynched in the first place. The votes only piled up again after a deadline was set. And since it appears that there aren't even 7 people who want to vote Peers right now, there's still a chance he's not going to get lynched. In fact, Jmar's had more votes than Peers after I started defending the latter.

Uh, no. Did you even read what I wrote? I wasn't advocationg your lynch per se, I am going over the possibilities since you are acting all weird and suspicious right now. Just because it affects you doesn't mean we shouldn't consider everything. In fact, if you had would actually read, you would have seen that I said it would be odd you being mafia if Peers came up mafia.

Thats a serious case of trying to keep people from discussing only because its you on the line.

Unofficial vote count since we seem to have a third wagon here...

Peers – 5 – Mirth, originality, jmar, UltimaAvalon, Unright

originality- 3 Flameaxe, Cogito Ergo Scum, dybeck

jmar – 2 – PlaysWithSquirrels, Blight

With 12 alive, it takes 7 to lynch! 4 to lynch at deadline, which is tomorrow.

Not Voting – 2 – killerbob, Peers

Deadline in about 2 hours I believe?

Vote: Originality

No offense, man, but the only way I'm surviving this is by voting for you, and having someone who's voting for me decide to change. I doubt it'll happen, but I'll give people the option.

ultima, you wanna join your buddy Flameaxe in voting originality? Please? :)

Rita wakes herself up from a slight snooze. "Wha-? You finally decided on somebody? Who is it?"

Peers is pushed into the front row, and Rita grins.
Maliciously
grins. One of those grins where you just know that person is crazy. Her eyes light up.

The platform begins to descend, and Rita slowly twirls her staff in her hands while eying her own image in a hand-mirror bejeweled with bones. Her lips curl contemptuously as the dais stops directly in front of her prey. "Magic wand – make this creature shrink!"

In moments, Peers is naught but the size of a gerbil. She walks over to a window peering out into space, with a small chamber underneath it for jettisoning trash. "Be gone with you, then" she says, with her back turned to the rest of you. With a
whoooosh
the chamber opens and closes. You look outside and see no trace Peers.

"He was definitely a Putty Patroller" comments Rita, picking at her teeth and burping silently. "Do better next time."

Peers, Putty Patroller, Townie, has been lynched!

It is now
Night One
. I will be gone until November 12, so deadline for actions will be 11:59 pm PST, November 16 (in the case somebody has a question I cannot answer until then which may affect their choice).

I am also searching for a replacement for killerbob. Fun stuff. If either Blight or killerbob have night actions that cannot be submitted by a partner and I cannot replace them before the night is through, I will randomize their night choice (with "No action" being one of the options).

Finally back from Philly. I will be processing night-choices shortly. I'll see how we're doing on replacements as well. The game will hopefully open up this evening. Thank you for your patience.

Everybody was Kung-Fu fighting...

Ooble-ooble-ooo-oo-ooo!
Those cats were fast as lightning...
In fact it was a little bit frightning...
They fought with expert timing...

They were funky Putty men from funky Puttytown,
They were chopping them up, and they were chopping them down,
It's an ancient space-age art and everybody knew their part,
From a feint into a slip, and kicking from the hip,

Everybody was Kung-Fu fighting...

Ooble-ooble-oo-oo-URGH! *dissipates from being hit in the stomach*

UltimaAvalon, Putty Patroller, Townie, has been killed!
It is now
Day Two
.

With
10
alive, it takes
6
to lynch!

Joubert replaces Blight, effective immediately.

I didn't think very highly of him because of his self-voting gimmick and I prodded UA pretty strongly over his meta-defending of Flameaxe. As such I was high on his list of suspects, but he wasn't very high on mine.
