Open 646 - Semi Nightless - Game Over (D6)

I'm done rereading this game in its entirety. I read it 3 times after Rosske got flipped since I monumentally fucked up and one more time just so I could be confident going into LYLO. I'm only going to review your ISOs and ask questions.

Since I haven't really defended myself and I apologize for the wifom but

I didn't really agree to lynch karnos because I felt he was lynch-baity town getting lynched and I didn't entirely agree with the reasons on him. However, I clearly stated that I didn't like the person who he was lynching as scum either (Io) and that was the lynch he was trying to get away with. It did gain some momentum, and if I were scum defending him I'd vote with him to get Io lynched. If my intentions were to defend him, pursuing a vanity lynch on Luna Fox would not be the way to do it. I just genuinely did not like Luna Fox's tone and her posts felt very off and at least one other body here agrees with me on that part. I can't really say what I'd do as scum since I'm not scum and I played this game as town, but I'd probably bus just like the wolf in smith/giga did to gain towncred rather than have myself attached to supporting karnos being town.

I did say at one point that I felt Io might've been a wolf pursuing an opportunistic scapegoat lynch on lynchbait town but then I read into her further and just dismissed their battle as TVT. Hence the attempt to get votes on other parties such as PC when I thought his RVS vote was tactical and then Luna Fox.

How familiar are you and giga w each other? Mainly on other sites, or do you have a few together here on MS?

I feel that if I were scum I could've gotten Io lynched because I was far from the only part that thought Karnos was town. 5 people were sold that karnos was scum {Giga, Thor, Io, Fox, Smith} So that leaves 5 people which could've lynched Io over karnos.

Rosske: Was in fact voting Io.

PhantomCobalt: He literally said that he townread karnos and only voted him in RVS as a joke.

Tenshii: Clearly stated he thought karnos was town, so he probably would've acquiesced to Io vs. karnos.

Killthestory: Was being fairly neutral most of the game but I do remember him saying that karnos was town so he probably would've lynched Io.

Transcend: If I were scum, I could've bought karnos more time by voting Io because I'm fairly sure these 4 would've lynched Io over karnos. I think if I were scum, pursuing a lynch outside of karnos and Io would be basically sending him to the gallows without sending him to the gallows.

PEDIT: I met Giga in this game, we played in an ongoing game together as well (you're co-hosting it lol).

I did skim 649 since a good chunk of my favorite people on the site were in that game but it's not enough to make meta on him. I very loosely followed that game and basically just checked up on the vote logs and the flips for the most part.

Nah. I think it's just safe to say we became really good friends on this medium. We sorta have some kind of a circlejerk with kraskanumbers and MariaR. I mean hell, Giga made my new AUTO avatar.

Also 649 was pretty funny. Graveyard meltdowns are always fun (other than when you're part of the melting down dead town of course). No graveyard meltdown compares to fruit salad though, that was epic (my first wolf game ever, binked cop before post 100, and crunkus hard carried the team to final 3 before losing at the bitter end).

Wish I was in 649. Looked really fun with a fun player list but I was extremely overloaded.

My interest and energy waxes and wanes myself. I was super overloaded not long ago, like 3-4 games at same time, way too much. Actually cancelled a fun theme game /in because I had too much. Probably doing more hydra'ing going forward, doing one w shadow_step, maybe another w rask, and one offsite w a player i respect a lot (and who has won each of the four times we've played together, while I'm 1-3 in those lol)

But I think I'd typically prefer to play independently but I wouldn't be opposed to hydra-ing anyone.

Never tried before. Should be fun. Shadow hates playing town and I hate playing scum. One of us will dislike the experience

Nope. My first game here was actually my 2nd overall. I have like 45 turbos (18 minute days) but beyond that I'm under 20 "real" games played. Not newb but far from super experienced.

I have a massive amount of EM games played. I was on this site very briefly but I wasn't extremely mafia advanced like I am now. This was in 2011 and I was like 16.

All this aside: All 3 of us are relatively new to the site and whoever is scum out of us is playing a very good game for a new player so hats to them.

i'm still struggling to see transcend as scum but i feel like that's exactly what he wants me to say as scum <_>

both of you guys have really townie ISOs and I'm not happy with either lynch just yet. still leaning towards mhsmith but i can't vote.

I think the most puzzling nightkill of this game was N4, Iraon. The benefit Mhsmith gets from it is kind of clear, he gets rid of the most obvtown person pushing for his lynch and increases his chances of living another day. But does Transcend kill him because he can't push on him any more? I feel like scum!Transcend wanted to keep Rosske/Luna Fox alive for as long as possible so that town lynches itself, and then closer to LYLO he could point to the fact that they're still alive and get them lynched. Luna replacing out kind of ruined that momentum, and I feel like Transcend refusing to analyze nightkills could be because he feels that they're extremely incriminating.

The Io kill was really weird too. Mhsmith was the first person to criticize it and call it a bad nightkill. Does he do that to his own nightkill, like an attempt to distance himself from it? But then, I can't figure out why Transcend picks it if he wants to keep Tenshii alive.
