I can at least help out with a vote count:

Oman- 5 (AlyG, Sammich, Manaspyrte, TylerJ, Shteven)
Sammich- 4 (SSF, JordanA24, Aimee, ooba)
Shteven- 2 (Curiouskarmadog, Oman)
Laptop Gun- 1 (White)
Aimee- 1 (LML)

Gator's last count had 3 people on me with a count of 2...So I hope everything else was correct, ooba has unvoted since, I've moved to Oman, ooba moved to sammich. Opposed force also unvoted for LTG and hasn't yet voted anyone else.

17 alive, 9 to lynch

Not voting: Opposed Force, LaptopGun, somestrangeflea, the fonz*, skitzer*.

* The fonz has just replaced in, skitzer has asked for a replacement.

I think we need a lynch to move the game along .. (Jordan says lynching for the sake of moving the game along is suspicious .. But this game just strikes me as one where everybody is waiting for something to happen and lynch should probably make it interesting again) .. And as Oman pointed out - we are hardly in LyLo now ..

I'm fine with lynching either Shteven or Sammich..

Hey Fonz, thanks for replacing, this game needs some fresh insight.

I honestly have no idea. I didn't realise that I'd been gone for a week. I tend to base my posting rate on how fast the game itself is moving, so that I don't control 1 in 5 posts, and that each post I make is separated by a fair amount of other posts, so there's some content for me to actually talk about! There've only been 30 posts between this post and my last post, which, for a game with 17 players alive in it, is kinda sucky.

To sum up, I haven't been posting because overall thread activity is low. Whilst I realise that my lack of posting is contributing to this, I can't help but find it hard to be motivated in a game with so few active players...

Mod: Can we get prods on LML, White, ManaSpryte, AlyG, timmers, ooba and skitzer, and a votecount, please?
This sounds a lot like deflecting to me, particularly when you asked for the prods, which is just pointing out all the others who've lurked.

I'd like to see a lot more posting from you in the future Flea.
Please delete my comment from your sig...such an awful joke- Battle Mage

Politics Mafia currently requires 1 replacement, please PM me if interested.

Good evening.

Firstly, the Oman wagon is absolutely retarded.

Secondly, I would like to know why, of the players on the Sammich wagon, everyone jumped on Schteven in particular.

Uhhh, why I took my vote off of Oman is unclear to me.

At the beginning he made a scummy bandwagon and seemed to care less about it. Also, he was really hysterical on pg 7 about people metaing. I think it is because he is scum in those games to, so if he turns up scum, he doesn't want others to see that and then vote him here. There are other reasons to, but I just got done with a reread and my brain is mush.

Oman wrote:Yeah, I don't KNOW it was malicious, but many people stated that it wasn't right, and AlyG has been around long enough to know that rule. I can only assume that AlyG knew two facts:
1) That game was ongoing
2) He is not allowed to reference ongoing games
Thus malicious intent is implied.

Perhaps I am overreacting, but rules/integrity is something I take heavily: There are cases in which my integrity as a player is questioned (ironically in an ongoing game so I can't reference it) where I flare up. My post in Urban Dead got removed when someone posted their role PM and I yelled at them. My point is that rules are not there to be broken, and anyone who does SHOULD be modkilled, but often is not.

Ohh, yeah! I did read that. but I didn't actually believe your integrity part. I think you are actually hiding something. Also, I never actually quoted any games. I only mentioned why I think you reacted the way you did.

Ok, Sammich: can you link me to your completed games? I do have a reason for this.

I'm not so sure about ssf anymore - I think I need to do a re-read on him, but I'm still getting a lack of content from his posts in the same way that I am with Sammich (although, as I realised) not on the same extent.

The way I see it, and I could be wrong with any or all of them:
1. We want more people to post so we have more stuff to talk about, but we need more stuff to talk about to get people to post.
2. Oman could be scum or the mafia are pushing for a mislynch, but to find out we may have to lynch him.
3. The suspicious characters (LMF, for instance) who aren't posting need some prodding to get them to talk again, but such prodding may just alienate them even more.
Shoot first and you're a war hero. Shoot last and you're a casualty.

The wagon on me is bullshit, on there for bullshit reasons.

It doesn't bother me because sane rational townies who are reading the thread will see the idiocy of it.

LTG: Re: the thrid point: thats idiotic, you should prod anyway.

Unvote Vote LaptopGun

For advocating lynching for info (which would be stupidly irrelevent) without obviously pushing it.

Look at this attempt at hiding it: "Oman could be scum or the mafia are pushing for a mislynch, but to find out we may have to lynch him." Its weak, but advocates my lynch for what reason? To find my alignment?

LTG you are seriously terrible. I realise you're discussing Catch-22s but three out of three are crap. Especially two and three.

Sure. Here's Mini 504, where I was deadlined, and Crush Nightless, where I won. There are some more games but they're not done yet. And there's a newbie game but I can't find the link.

To be honest Aimee, I'm a little uncomfortable with the meta-game thing here. What's your reason?

Well, we seem to have three commonly-given reasons for the Oman wagon:

His bandwagonning (not a scumtell)
His trying to get references to ongoing games removed (so not a scumtell it isn't funny)
His lynch-a-lurker suggestion. Now, not great, but I've seen enough towns lose to lurking scum enough times that it makes sense. Probably needs to differentiate better between lurkers and inactives, but not a scumtell.

Generally, I'm getting a vibe of genuine conviction off Oman, which is what I always look for in the context of game theory arguments.

I wasn't saying to have you lynched Oman. I'm saying, because you act so erratic and inflamatory, you look suspicous. However it seems a lot of people keeping digging their claws into to you for pretty crappy reasons. It's one thing if you dont like my observations, but dont take them out of context and claim I want you lynched. Hell I'd rather try to figure out who you are through talking. What I have learned is I find you highly suspicious, sure, and I find your twisting my words here, but right now I'd rather not have you lynch as I find the experiences around your bandwagon suspious. Hence a catch22- damned if we do and damned if we dont.

1. So you like my first point?
2. I think I've addressed this
3. Umm so you want to drive people away? It's a ctahc 22 because all that happens is we drive peopel to leave the game (or it seems to me). Yeah we get a bunch of replacements to play... and probably leave anyway because you keep attacking them. Great plan. Great protown thing to do. I'd like to retain as many of the players we have who we know stuff about (and yes there are somepeople who we know very little about).

I'm not a fan of day 1 wagons as a rule, I can't recall any I've felt really good about*. But you have to make one.

*There was a really awesome one in married to the mob where I was confident the town nailed scum day 1...it was me, though. ;)
