Walked into a meeting at work early. Until everyone was there, people discussed Pokemon Go. I still don't play so I had nothing to say. But I did learn my co-workers are so obsessed they somehow have made a map that finds pokemon throughout the entire state and added it to one of the shared servers

Now I test lottery and gambling software as my job. It's funny how my life has turned out. Somewhere a Time Traveler is laughing madly
This map of the state they made is basically google maps with pokemon on it. And they said there were going to extend it beyond the state

I think psyche was making reference to the fact that Pokevision already exists.
One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

And I was not aware that you were not aware of that.

I feel like I might actually know less, if that factors in.

In post 344, Psyche wrote:Psyduck isn't a Psychic type for the same reason Charizard isn't a dragon type. That type was sort of OP in Gen 1. If Psyduck/Golduck had happened as early as Gen II or Gen III then he'd be Psychic maybe.
IIRC the only pokes who had their types released before release in Gen 1 were Charizard and Gyarados, because having a starter dragon was super dumb and Water/Dragon was only weak to Dragon (and since the only dragon type attack was Dragon Rage, well...)
So DuPont Circle in DC is a really good place to catch a metric fuckton of Doduos. My most caught pokemon by far are those 2-headed skyrats.
Also there's a pretty large number of Pinsir around here. If I weren't capped on what I could level by dust, I'd have a pretty strong one of those as well.
I just hatched my fourth Caterpie. They seem to love being inside my 2km eggs.
Although because I've evolved two of them, and they're not really that common here to catch, I haven't got enough for a butterfree yet, so I'm not sure whether I actually want more or not to get a butterfree. I think I'd rather some different pokemons though.

*It may be held by someone else if you discount the major downtime in 2012 and 2014, I'm not doing the research.
"Magikarp is a pathetic excuse for a Pokémon that is only capable of flopping and splashing. This behavior prompted scientists to undertake research into it."
You don't say!
It took me a few weeks, but I finally caught a few -- and by "a few," I mean nine in the span of two hours -- of these useless floppers only to find that I need
400
Magikarp candies to turn one into Gyarados. Are you kidding me?
I think the skinner box of evolution is what's pushing me away from this game. Like, I get that they need 'the treadmill', but 125 candies to evolve a three-stage pokemon is lunacy.
It's not, no. I miss the concept of training something up. Here you just constantly find better stuff in the wild, training anything doesn't make sense Maybe at later levels it will but not for the first 20 for sure.
