The mere fact that you have to point this out shows that the title is ill-chosen due to the fact that only a small group of people actually "get it". Mish Mash Monster is fairly self-explanatory.
Also, that's not the only definition for "Munchkin", so most people aren't going to get that reference. Heck, I'm a hardcore gamer (computer, tabletop, LARP, board game), and I've never even heard the word used in that way. Clearly it just doesn't carry enough meaning, imo. In fact, this is the first time I've actually heard an explanation of why "Munchkin" was used, other than the fact that it makes an alliteration...

Also, not only does he play games aggressively (monsters are aggressive!), he also destroys mish mash games frequently (monster destroy stuff!), from what I hear. Munchkin sorta fits, but monster is perfect.

Munchkin is way more perfect. I don't know if he still does it, but he used to always suggest ways to make games weirder and more elaborate. That seems like munchkin behaviour to me.
