Setael's statement threw me because if she is lynched and is scum, it would point to both Rishi-town and me-town. It seems that it would be silly for a scum at lynch -1 to point to two townies (if Rishi is indeed town). Her dying suspicion of us, if Rishi is also town, would not be distancing -- it would just be making it obvious to the town that Rishi and I are town, which like I said seems dumb for a dying scum to do.

So, I read her statement as much more likely from a town perspective -- she genuinely wants the town to consider me and Rishi carefully if she is dead.

Guardian, I don't see how that follows - why would it be silly for a dying scum to point to two townies? I can definitely see myself doing that as scum. I also don't think it would make it obvious that you and Rishi are town - it's just as likely she would place a scumbuddy in there (as you have already stated). If this is so, how does it then follow that it would be obvious you two are town and therefore something scum would want to avoid? I think your arument is flawed (I think it suffers from being circular, although i's a fairly complex circularity).

In any case, town, I think we're in good shape. We have three lynches left and only one scum. I don't see Guardian or Shanba being the final scum at this point. JDodge and Patrick are maybes for me. But I think the two most likely to be scum are Bookitty and White - would like to look closer at voting patterns, but I think we can easily win this one.

Jdodge, as frustrating as he is, I have no idea of his alignment. Just his unwillingness to help out is suspicious to me.

Patrick is probably fourth for me, just by process of elimination. I think there is a good chance it is Bookitty though.

I'm still in the process of a reread. Setael's turning out to be scum ironically clears Guardian in my opinion, which is annoying, because I really disliked his postings. But I don't believe their interactions were distancing. It was too sustained, and generally it's my opinion that when scum attack/bus other scum, they do so with fairly vague arguments. Not the case here, so I don't see Guardian and Setael as scumbuddies. Nor Shanba and Setael, for similar reasons.

I'd really like Guardian to post an actual case on me, as opposed to metagaming himself and then applying that to me. I'd be interested in hearing his logic.

That's a fair assessment. I don't think that Setael would have distanced from the last Mafia, though. She did some distancing from mneme, and I don't know if she'd distance from both her scumbuddies.

By the way, I think Thin_Man was a weird choice to kill. I'm sad that we lost the doctor, but it does eliminate someone that I found kind of suspicious.
