One time, back in 'nam, Sudo was set upon by an entire squadron of charlies. He challenged them all to a game of Pictionary, which he won resoundingly. The charlies were forced to not only surrender the skirmish, but also their world-famous chili recipe, which Sudo sold to Texas for a hefty profit. Sudo is a master of diplomacy.

so i got back home and while there are a ton of poke stops within a 2 minute walk, the three gyms around me all have 15+ level people on them. I'm level 6.

Embrace your inner Valley Girl.

In other news, I have caught some monsters but do not understand what amount of CP is considered acceptable.

I also missed out on a starter Pikachu, but I am hopeful of finding one eventually. There was one in my block, apparently, but cars (passenger) make things difficult.

I think quadz and I are feeling the under leveled pain, too. Earlier today I took a gym, and within hours it was re-captured by three people 10+. I'm barely 8, and don't really have the luxury of bountiful time or surroundings, so it feels like I'm going to fall more behind as time goes on...

Edit: that said, my workplace is a Pokemon GO Gym, and there's a Pokestop right by it, so I hope I'll at least get a decent stream of supplies and Pokemon spawns on my meal breaks.

the servers are up today for the first time in half a week.

there are no pokemon around me. my second lure got used somehow. I'm not allowed to experience prolonged exposure to direct sunlight for the next half a year or so.

Guess I'm uninstalling :( my pokemon journey has come to a close.

that would involve driving into town in the middle of night...

which i mean... i could. but euugghhh I'd feel like such a weirdo wandering around the town center at the middle of the night staring at my phone.

You might not be the only one wandering around staring at your phone in the middle of the night.

Someone else in site chat noticed that with a graveyard, too. What's up with that?

my understanding is that pokestops are ingress stops and ingress stops were based nominally on memorials and other sites. graveyards tend to have monuments and things.

You can tell that someone(s) at that police department plays Pokémon Go.
