Don't put words in my mouth. Thnx. All I was saying was if he usually does what he is doing, it is a nulltell.

Oman, you seem anxious to get these posts deleted. You gave your case, but it still leaves me pondering. And what is this about me being a 'goddamn nutter'?

EBWOP: the last sentence should read "it's my main factor...". Of course you're all welcome to agree with me!

If Sammich is FOS'ing over the no comment for his vote, then that's fine. However, sammich should also be explaining this. "wtf" is a horrible way to throw suspicion on someone, we have no idea why you're doing it.

Ooba: A better line if you're confused would be to say something like "I can't get a read off this" or call it a null-tell.
CKD wrote: this is an incredible silly post. everyone (scum included) should act pro-town? Some people think(not I) over defensiveness is scummy, should you stop being over defenesive then? Almost every type of action can be twisted to look scummy.
Yes, everyone, scum included, should try to look town. I thought this was obvious, but since no role has a win condition on being lynched, everyone wants to survive. The fact is that 80+% of us will be dead, and so it's not a requirement to win, but you certainly don't want to have members of your team (town or scum) killed off early.

Anything can be twisted to look scummy, sure. But if you're the one consciously trying to twist what someone else says, it will probably throw more suspicion on yourself than the person you're targeting for bad reasons.

That Oman was not doing this by band wagoning, and admitting to it.

Oman if you are sincere I thank you for your selflessness. However I have a hard time believing it's sincere. I really can see one of the mafia or that wonderful serial killer we've talked about saying this in a selfrightous manner. You say you just want to help catch scum, I just have not seen this in your behavior. I'll play devil's advocate and say "Well you could be getting the mafia to talk more. If I <Oman> get lynched, the town can see who led the bandwagon." The problem is you "kinda" have been bandwagoing yourself. <Yes that's understatement>

Okay, the bandwagoning is a form of scumhunting. You think sitting around random voting gets to scumhunting? It doesn't. Granted, I've probably been playing this game as if it were a day start game (i.e. wagon) when we could have been hunting Jordan's tone or whatever.

Bandwagons bring out scum, because it forces people to discuss an issue and you can see prior knowledge.

The point of a town player is to catch the scum, if you're NKed for being so townie that you're a threat you succeeded.

Sucking up much? ;) I don't mean to imply this is scummy, it's just content-free.
The point of a town player is to catch the scum, if you're NKed for being so townie that you're a threat you succeeded.
I'll play devil's advocate then; let's assume you are townie. By getting so many votes yourself, you become a possible lynch target. Possible lynch targets make horrible, horrible night kills. You're more likely to survive because the mafia would rather you get lynched than kill you themselves. I happen to have done this in my last game of mafia, I was a townie who was fairly high on the votes. I survived to day 5 when eventually they did kill me - by a lynch.

The ones who are night killed are the ones without many votes on them, perhaps townies who are correct about who scum are, but often not, as you don't want the dead body itself to be evidence. That can be wifom; but the non-voted being killed is usually true and not wifom.

I'd disagree,
FOS:Sammich
, he could have axplained his suspicions better rather than making a sarcastic comment. I get the feeling that he can't really think of anything to back up his FOS, which could indicate he's just throwing mud and hoping it sticks to someone.

Tyler's post afterwards also unsettled me, he could have pressed Sammich to explain his suspicions instead of making a contentless post about it.

I agree with CKD's above comment, LG, please explain your case, otherwise your "sitting on my random vote" easily translates into "I'm not lurking, I'm voting someone, don't mind me." Why is SSF a better place to put your vote than Oman?

Sammich, calm down,

We're voting/FOSing you because you made a sarcastic comment rather than back up your FOS, if you back it up, we might take our votes/FOS's off you.

I don't have any requirements on post length Sammich, but just leave a reason why you think someone is suspicious when you FOS them, that's all.

If someone asks why you fos'ed them afterwards, not answering makes you look evasive, and implies there wasn't much reason. The vote isn't personal; it's just putting my concerns on record. I don't think you have much to fear from one vote.

[quote="Shteven"]I'm not really seeing a reason to fos Ooba here. [quote]

Ooba in response to your question, I quoted this. I made a typo. It wasn't Jordan that commented, it was shteven.

Jordan, this might adress your suspicion as to why I didn't comment. Because the simple fact is I did. I didn't exactly question sammich, just noted that I didn't see the reason behind the votes.

Now to adress Oman, why am I worthy of getting votes. What about me is scummy. Also, you haven't explained why I am a 'goddamn nutter'. Please, instead of simply implying that I am scum, give a reason why you think that. Right now it seems that you are wanting people to ignore you and attack others.

Now, back to scum hunting.

The fact that Oman keeps pointing out others in a hinting kind of way is suspicious. He did this to me, but also to other people like jordan. An example of this is post 185 when he mentions Jordan, and again in 193, although this was in response to another post.

Sammich is kind of suspicious too with voting for no reason. Even more so by the fact that he still hasn't given one.

So
FoS: Sammich
Vote: Oman
