Gork/NM/FA actually makes a ridiculous amount of sense if this is in fact singleball.
Gork could have been trying to go for towncred by pulling that stunt and saving an exec quickhammer for if it would be absolutely necessary.
That makes a ridiculous amount more sense than him being town and actually having those two as his top townreads as well.
