- Yes. I was lynched as a scummy acting townperson. It gave me good insight into noobie behavior. Scumhunting is hard enough without wasting your vote in every game on the same noobie behavior that most of the noobs to this game do in every game.Skruffs wrote:
Cicero, are you reluctant of lynching people with 'townperson' titles because you, yourself, was lynched as a townperson? I don't understand how I am supposed to scumhunt if I'm not supposed to scumhunt to scumhunt. I think something about the way you are phrasing yourself is messing me up. Also, why am I on your list?
Kakeng has been very unhelpful, and I believe his asking for replacement is likely to be scum folding under pressure. I wasn't completely sold on the case against BM, but those two factors together, BM's overzealous attack on cicero, and Kakeng's unhelpfulness, are compelling evidence IMO. I think we can do a lot worse than lynch Kakeng at this point. I also readily admit that one of the factors is impatience and annoyance over the constant replacements in this game, though ... but that doesn't mean I don't find Kakeng scummy.pwayne66 wrote:So I ask the Kakeng wagon: Are you lynching Kakeng to avoid replacement, or are there other factors? Shaka! and Cicero seem to have indicated they aim to avoid replacement.
I'll see if I can convince BM, and if not, hopefully I'll soon get a response in the Replacement thread. (Also adding an advertisement in my sig).cicero wrote:solution:Mod: Prod Kakeng. Ask him if he is willing to play long enough to claim. Also see if BM will reprise his role.
sound good?
Why are you deliberately pretending to find a hypocrisy that we both know is not there?Skruffs wrote:I'm torn. Even if I wanted to vote kakeng, I can't, because cicero has informed me that I shouldn't lynch people with 'townsperson' under their name. On the other hand, cicero doesn't seem to play by his own rules, so why is he trying to make me?
Is this good advice or not?cicero wrote:Easy answer: Make sure you ask yourself whether the behavior is truly scummy or just noobie. That's all. You definitely want to lynch based on scummy behavior. But look for signs of intelligence, instead of just lynching some psycho noob who doesnt take the game seriously. On day one I prefer to lynch someone who looks like they know to behave better than they are. I am still new to this remember. But I pretty much try to avoid lynching anyone with "townperson" on their user icon on day one.
(and if you reply back to me with "but kakeng is townperson" I might just ive you a wedgie)
Kakeng was Battlemage first. I am compelled that Shaka's case is a reasonable one.Skruffs wrote:Is this good advice or not?cicero wrote:Easy answer: Make sure you ask yourself whether the behavior is truly scummy or just noobie. No. Kakeng (previously Battle Mage) wasn't and isn't on my suspect list. As I said in an earlier post, BM struck me as a very aggressive townie. I think this is a mislynch and won't be voting Kakeng. And while I understand the frustration of the long-time players, I cannot support lynching someone just to avoid waiting for a replacement.cicero wrote:Please come join me.
This whole post strikes me as interesting. And skitzer's lack of posting on the game (as well as AlyG's before him) did kinda tick me off. But how do you explain skitzer totally standing behind AlyG's claim? He didn't have to say it was a mis-claim, but he could have clarified the type of backup he is. Ministheo wrote:You know I've just been thinking about AlyG's claim again.
Don't get married to this idea. If we've got a doc, the doc might decide to protect skitzer based on his/AlyG's claim. The mafia (if skitzer's not among them) might also wait until they nail down the cop or the doc,Skruffs wrote:Theo, AlyG is going to be an early mafia kill is he's not scum. Especially after the first power role dies. It's like lynching a suspicious claimed doctor - let the scum take them out for you.
