@Farmer, Yes. RC and I just finished a game with scum KT. He's spammy and very trolley as scum. See Open 527. Jeanne's posts weaken that but KT having nine posts is town indicative to me.

Do you think that's alignment indicative? I've modded a game with KT, and he was spammy as town in that game.

One thing which DID catch my eye was RC's 885. I'm not sure why "the way the mods dealt with the replacement" is necessarily AI. Does anyone else think it was?

I don't...personally I think that something like that questions the integrity of the mod.

Another suggestion for what equates to a policy lynch, which RC never responded to earlier.

I didn't read this as a policy lynch, I thought it was like "You're a good player but you're not playing well, that indicates that you're scum."

I bolded the part that caught my eye and the reason I brought it up. Saying "I'm fine lynching you either way" comes across to me like somebody that just wants a lynch, not somebody that was actually trying to find scum.

I was almost lynched because I wasn't exactly the paradigm of scum hunting. It's just not my style to constantly be asking questions of everyone. I only analyze the posts of my scum reads when I have one, and I tonally read everyone else. I didn't get lynched because RC came in and said my lynch was bad, and we quicklynched some one else.

Even in NY192, I didn't ask questions a ton and walk the town through my thought process for everything and I didn't push my scum reads before making a case. I dropped a vote, explained it when I was prompted nearly 100 posts later with a case and we lynched him and he was scum.

I scumhunt, just not conventionally by talking to everyone, which is why it takes awhile for me to get in a groove of scumhunting because I'm not interacting so my reads come later than everyone else's, and I expect RC to know that playing with him multiple times.

Re-reading I realise it's not the slot I didn't like, just the player. Honestly after reading what happened I had half a mind to replace out. Really a horrible D1 to be involved in.

Shamelessly going to jump on the Clumsy wagon because honestly, nothing else really jumps out at me as much as Jake did. The new replacements are meh, but at least they're civil.

What are the cases on the two major wagons.

I'll let someone who scumreads the Jake/Max slot explain that case. But with Clumsy, it's basically that he hasn't been trying to figure out the game (also, his posts make me feel like he doesn't have a stake in figuring out the game), and he's also been laying low. A running theme of his posts is Information Instead Of Analysis, which is probably overrated as a scumtell, but with what Clumsy's shown so far it seems a particularly appropriate tell to use.

Posts from his ISO that pinged me:

34 - Musings on PLing Kain and the number of scum we can expect in the game.

132 - Discards an easy opportunity to probe Lowell and instead just chalks it up to egotism.

305 - Says he plans to ISO Rosh and I. Admittedly, we can't know for sure that he didn't follow through.

561 - I'll give him some credit for questioning Rosh here, even though it was kind of a layup. But the rest of the post feels like he wants to be heard saying stuff.

573 - Says stuff about how Jake should play, but not really anything to discern Jake's alignment or what Jake thinks the alignments of others are.

892...910 - Premature talk about when we should hammer.

932, 935 - Advancing the position that the mod's actions are not alignment indicative (I concur with him, but he seems to be taking great pains to present IIOA).

949 - I might be reaching here, but I get a feeling of "Look at me, I'm so town!" feeling from the way he makes sure we know he's putting the interests of the town ahead of his own survival.

About Jake/Max, most of this is repetition but it's what I'm thinking:

1) I think he's presented conflicting information in the thread and then been misleading about it. I linked to the posts I'm talking about in post 663
2) The way Jake was posting at the beginning of the game and the way he reacted to questioning about his pre-game opinion makes me think that he wouldn't back down from being questioned. The argument that he would do this as town isn't applicable, for me.
3) I get a bullying impression from his interaction with FA. I think he was panicking and responded like this to FA's questioning.
4) His discussion of reads lists (post 356, post 446, post 472) is theory-based posting rather than analysis of the game.
5) About Max - I don't think Jake was close to being lynched, so presenting this as a context in which to view Jake's behaviour (post 938) isn't valid IMO.
6) Pointing out the lurkers and Jeanne's vote is pretty null for me.

The lipstick thing helped APF get my gender right. And I couldn't help but think of it everytime I read Nosferatu.
